Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 14, Hallsville Primary & Intermediate Schools will celebrate Valentine's Day! ❤️ Classroom party times are listed below.
Hallsville Primary School: 9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
Hallsville Intermediate School: 2:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Please join the Hallsville School District on Thursday, February 15, from 5:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the secondary cafeteria to meet the incoming superintendent, Mr. Tyler Walker, and his family. Light refreshments will be provided.
After the meet and greet, all are welcome to stay as the Girls and Boys Basketball teams take on Salisbury starting at 6:00 p.m. in the west and north gyms. For those unable to attend prior to the game, the Walker family will also be introduced after the Varsity Girls Basketball game.
Health & PE Teacher K-5: This position is responsible for creating a classroom environment that fosters, promotes, and develops an understanding of the relationship between healthy body function and exercise.
In-School Support Teacher 2024-25: This position is responsible for classroom instruction and training in a variety of subject areas. The ISS Monitor position is responsible for ensuring that students who are placed in the In-School Support Program work on study habits, classroom behavior skills, and a positive self-image. This position is also responsible for coordinating student receipt and completion/progress of classroom assignments and activities.
Maintenance & Grounds: Maintenance Staff is responsible for construction, maintenance, and repairs of district property, including, but not limited to, playgrounds, sidewalks, parking lots, trees, bushes, fences, flag poles, stormwater, snow and ice removal, dirt work, and signs.
Substitute & Full-Time Bus Drivers: Qualified applicants need to have the ability to obtain and maintain a Class B CDL with S and P endorsements. Background check and an annual physicals are required. Drivers are paid per route. Paid training is available for those seeking their CDL certification.
Front Office Support Substitute: The district is looking for the right candidate to fill in on an as-needed basis in our front offices. Responsibilities include answering phones, updating student absences, administrative support, and more. In addition, they will continue to support annual items such as senior scholarships, Missouri Boys & Girls State scholarships, field trips, Teacher Appreciation Week items, and family fun events. For more information on the PTO, please follow them on Facebook!

It's Art Show Week! As a reminder, our K-5 Art Show is this Friday, February 16, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in the Hallsville Primary building. All students in grades K-5 will have at least two pieces of artwork on display. In addition, several hands-on art stations and experiences will be set up around the building for students and their families to participate in together.
In addition, the virtual art show website is now open until February 20. You can view the Artome Virtual Art Show here. In addition, you can purchase artwork and leave comments for our student artists!
For families interested in purchasing their child's artwork, it is recommended you purchase it prior to Friday to avoid the lines!
A reminder that you can now make lunch payments conveniently through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal or by sending cash or a check to the school. If your student's lunch balance falls below $10 or becomes negative, balance notifications will be sent every Thursday. You can easily monitor your student's lunch balance in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal anytime. If your student's account has a low balance and is not frequently used, please email communications@hallsville.org to opt out of these notifications.
To make a payment in Infinite Campus:
- Log into Infinite Campus Parent Portal via the app or online.
- Select Food Service
- Click on the blue Pay button
- Enter the amount to put on your student's account
- Select Add to Cart
- Go to your Cart
- Add payment information
- Infinite Campus charges a 4% fee for credit cards and a $.35 fee for checks.
The February Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, at 6:00 p.m. in the Hallsville Primary School cafeteria. When available, an agenda can be found online here.

YOUTH ACTIVITIES
Hallsville Middle School will hold cheerleading tryouts for current 6th and 7th graders in March. There is a mandatory meeting for students and families on Wednesday, February 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the intermediate commons for those interested in trying out. Twisters Hockey: Learn to Play Clinics
Twisters Hockey is hosting Learn to Play Clinics in March! Students ages 5 to 18 of all skill levels are encouraged to attend! For more information, please follow Twisters Hockey on Facebook!
Registration is now open for Hallsville Summer Youth Baseball and Softball. All registration must be completed online. The deadline to register is March 24, 2024. The league is currently open to incoming kindergarten students through current 8th grade students.
Hallsville Pack 12 is inviting all kindergarten through 4th grade students to join their pack! They offer a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities and community service projects. Registration is currently discounted by 50% for new members who join before February 29.
