Dear Fifth Grade Students and Families

It is the time of year to start thinking about science fair.

In the past our district hosted an elementary school fair. However that opportunity has not been offered to our students since COVID.

Our focus in the science lab this nine weeks will be the scientific method, understanding variables, experimentation and analyzing data.

If you would like your child to have an opportunity to compete in a science fair there is a wonderful opportunity through CARSEF- Central Arkansas Regional Science Fair. I am here to assist you if you need help and want your child to participate.

Student Registration is due by February 15, 2024

Information about registration is available at the CARSEF site.

Registration costs are 30 dollars per student.

The fair will be on Friday March 1, 2024 at UALR.

All project must have : Form 1, Form 1A and Form 1 B

Other projects require special forms.

You can drop your child off as early as 7:05am and the tardy bell will ring at 7:40am.

Dismissal will begin at 2:55pm.

When utilizing our carpool lanes make sure to "always do the RIGHT thing" by TURNING RIGHT!

We've all slept and celebrated since December, but it's fun to look back on all we did to wrap up the Fall semester!
