TCE Color Run Updates
TCE Color Run Tonight!
Our Color Run is this evening! Our Color Run is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Funds raised will pay for the classroom grants we fund in November, field trip buses, Field Day, and Teacher Appreciation Week.
A few things to remember:
Donations:
It is not too late to donate! Visit https://www.towncenterpto.org/color_run_2023. Family and friends can donate as well if they would like to support TCE. Classes are still working to earn prizes as a group! The more the class raises, the more rewards the class enjoys together! Parents and non-TCE siblings can also participate in the run with our students by registering at the link above. This $20 registration fee for parents and non-TCE students goes towards class donation totals.
Run Schedule:
Kindergarteners will run first at 5:45 p.m., with each subsequent grade starting every five minutes after the grade level before them. Once every grade has gone, each grade will go a second time around the school in the same order. Parents are encouraged to register at the link above to join their child(ren) in the run or cheer them on from the sidelines.
Food:
For those who pre-ordered pizza, it will be available at 5:30 p.m. Frozen treats and water can be purchased at the run.
Auction:
There will be a small auction at the Color Run. Some of the items include reserved seats at 5th grade graduation and half-day staff student positions (e.g. Librarian for half a day).

Yearbooks for Sale and Photo Uploads
Our yearbook sale is now open! Each year we have a Town Center Yearbook that highlights photos from every class, school events, and staff. It is a great item to have to look back on memories from the year, and we even have a yearbook signing party in May. If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook, please see the graphic below for thee different purchasing options. As a reminder, the TCE Yearbook cost WAS NOT included in the TCE Trail Pass. If you would like a yearbook for your child(ren), you will need to purchase using the website link below.
Our yearbook committee would also love your help in submitting photos for the yearbook. As you attend campus events, if you have any photos you would like to share, see below for information on uploading them to our committee.

Red Ribbon Week
The 2023 Red Ribbon Week Theme is "Be Kind to your Mind. Live Drug Free.™" We use this week to celebrate making healthy choices, and we hope to have you and your family join us for Red Ribbon Week celebrations.
In addition to the optional dress-up days below, our school will host a Healthy Choices Parade on Friday, October 27th at 8:00 a.m. Parents are welcome to come and cheer on our learners along the parade route. Our learners will walk out the front of the school, cross the crosswalk near the Cozby Library, and then cross back to TCE near the side parking loop. We encourage both parents and learners to wear red that day.

Book Character Pumpkin Extravaganza
A Note from Mrs. Mancuso
It's that time of year! Fall leaves, cool air (I hope), and PUMPKINS! The TCE Library presents the Book Character Pumpkin Extravaganza! Your child or family can decorate a pumpkin as a book character. Please NO CARVED pumpkins. You may decorate, paint, glue, etc a real or fake pumpkin to look like a character from a book. Please include a paper or index card with your child's name, class, character's name and book title. Pumpkins may be dropped off in the library anytime through October 27th and will be sent home October 30th. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Mancuso at kmancuso@coppellisd.com
Thanksgiving Baskets - A Note from Nurse Crenshaw
St. Ann’s Catholic Parish is once again sponsoring Thanksgiving basket deliveries (or a pickup option at St. Ann’s Church if you prefer). This program provides families in need with a complete Thanksgiving dinner for the entire family. The baskets will be delivered to your home the weekend before Thanksgiving, so it is important that an adult representing the family be at the home between the hours of Noon and 4PM on Sunday November 19th, 2023. The deadline to sign up for a basket is October 20th, 2023.
Please completely fill out the following form by clicking this link: 2023 St. Ann's Thanksgiving Baskets. You may contact Nurse Crenshaw with any questions at kcrenshaw@coppellisd.com or 214-496-7816.
Library Volunteers
Background Checks
We ask that all families complete a volunteer background check. They do not carry over from year to year. Since the background checks take time to process, we ask that everyone complete one in case any type of volunteering opportunity (class field trip, Dads Club, Room parent, class volunteer, field day, etc.) arises during the year that you are interested in. Please click on the link below to complete.
