PEAKS Testing Times

PEAKS stands for Performance Evaluation of Alaska Schools and is a series of tests given each Spring. For more information regarding state testing, click HERE.

The test is composed of 3 sections:

Math : All 3rd - 9th graders

ELA (English, Language Arts): All 3rd - 9th graders

Science : 4th, 8th, and 10th graders

Testing will take place here in our office April 9 - April 19. We can test 20 students at a time and will have morning and afternoon sessions.

We will begin calling families next week to schedule, however feel free to call us if you would like a better variety of dates/times to choose from.

Testing dates & times are first-come, first-served!

A parent or guardian must come inside to drop off/pick up.

An adult will have to sign their student in at the front desk.

Morning Sessions: Please arrive at 8:45am to check-in and allow your student to settle in before testing begins at 9am.

If you arrive after 9:15am, you will need to reschedule for a later date.

Afternoon Sessions: Please arrive at 1:15pm to check-in and allow your student to settle in before testing begins at 1:30pm.

If you arrive after 1:45pm, you will need to reschedule for a later date.

Parents/Guardians are required to drop off & sign in their student(s).

Parents/Guardians are also required to pick up their student(s).

However, we cannot accommodate many people in our lobby so please feel free to run errands.

We appreciate your assistance in keeping the office calm and quiet for testing.

Just your student! We will collect all electronic devices, smart watches, books, food and liquids before students enter the testing room.

Please try to leave electronics at home if possible. Office phones may be used to call parents/guardians for pick up.

We DO recommend bringing a book (not electronic) and a light snack, but these items will be kept outside of the testing room until the student is finished.

Breaks are scheduled during each testing session for students to get a drink of water or use the restroom, however they will not be allowed to access electronic devices during this time.

When your student completes all sections of their scheduled test, they may leave the testing room and will call you to be picked up. Please be prompt in picking up your student.

Reminder: Our office closes at 4:30pm each day.
