CELEBRATIONS
Great things are happening at WCS!
Thank you to our families for helping Tuesday's weather-related early release go as smoothly as possible! We appreciated your communication with the school office, which allowed us to have all of our students' dismissal plans in place before the busses arrived to bring kids home.
LOST & FOUND
Once again, our Lost & Found is overflowing with misplaced hats, hoodies, and EVEN BOOTS! Please ask your student if they are missing anything, and feel free to look through the collection when you're next at school. All unclaimed items will be donated over February break.
POCKET CHANGE FOR CHARITY
At the end of the second week the following classes are in the lead for fundraising:
3rd Place: Mrs. Smith's first grade with $69.92
2nd Place: Ms. Moran's fifth grade with $85.60
1st Place: Mrs. Sample's Kindergarten with $169.25
Remember to keep the change coming in. We have one week left in the battle to display the giant purple penny in your classroom!
HEALTHY HIGHLIGHTS
Families with students who will be entering kindergarten, 6th grade or 7th grade for the 2024-2025 school year should check the district health requirements linked here under the header "Student Health Information/Protocols." Rising kindergartners need documentation of a physical exam within the past year as well as additional immunizations beyond those required for Pre-K. Rising sixth graders need documentation of a physical examination within the past year. Rising seventh graders need Tdap and MCV4 boosters. THINGS TO TALK ABOUT
- Please remember to send a note into school when your student will be doing something different at the end of the day. Bus notes are handed out to classrooms/students at 2:30pm. It is helpful to have plans communicated to the office no later than 2:00pm in order to get students where they need to go.
- Tune in to Monday's School Board Meeting at 6:00pm to see the WCS Student Leadership Team present on all that they've been working on this year!
