Principal's Message
Pickerington Academy Families,
The Pickerington Academy recognizes the importance of parental involvement, by actively engaging with parents and guardians to offer valuable feedback and foster positive relationships. The belief is that a strong partnership between home and school is vital for academic success.
Families,
It is critical to realize that student success is a MUST!!! If students are not making the adequate progress needed to be successful...please understand that we must discuss a change to the current student plan.
Also, cell phones are starting to become a major distraction for some students and each teacher will be revisiting their classroom expectations. Thank you and have a great rest of the weekend.
Message for Central Seniors - PHSC is working with Jostens to schedule a senior picture day. Our Yearbook Advisor would like to have senior pictures taken in the building (PHSC) with them wearing a cap and gown (we will provide a cap and gown for this purpose ONLY). As soon as I have a date, I will make sure that you get that information. - Central

Superintendent's Message
Dear students, parents/guardians,
I am pleased to introduce the Student Code of Conduct for Pickerington Local Schools. Our code of conduct is a comprehensive resource designed to support the growth and development of our students, as well as ensure their safety and well-being while they are in our care.
Our mission in Pickerington Local Schools is to educate for tomorrow by ensuring every student is prepared for life after graduating, whether enrolling in college, enlisting in the armed forces, or following their career path. An important first step towards fulfilling this mission is to provide a learning environment that is orderly, safe, and positive. As Superintendent, one of the responsibilities I hold most seriously, is to provide a safe and secure environment for students and staff.
Students and families, PLSD is privileged to partner with you in cultivating a safe environment for all of our students to thrive academically and socially. Please review with your child the expectations for conduct and attendance found in this handbook. Working together, we can continue to keep schools among the safest places in the community for children to learn and grow.
Thank you for your commitment to PLSD.
Sincerely,
Chris M. Briggs, Ed.D.

Counselor's Update
In cooperation with MEPS and local Military recruiters, Pickerington High School North will be offering a free, optional ASVAB test to grades 10-12 on December 12th, 2023 at 8am here at PHSN. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is an exam that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military.
- While used for enlistment purposes, taking the ASVAB does not commit you to military enlistment. It also serves as an important tool in identifying your skills & abilities, provides career exploration information, links achievement with interest, assists in planning your high school curriculum, including work-related courses, and helps to identify a potential career path. It does not obligate students to the military!
To schedule the exam, students need to come see Mrs. Hurd or email her for the registration link, michelle_hurd@plsd.us . The deadline is: Wednesday, November 1st, 2023. Results of the exam will be reviewed with students on January 11th, 2024.
