The Catholic Schools Week 2024 Issue
St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School Celebrates Catholic Schools Week!
Our theme to celebrate Catholic education is: “Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community”. This message reminds us that "Catholic schools have an irreplaceable role in the Church’s evangelizing mission. Building on the central goal of Catholic schools to form saints, Catholic schools teach and embrace the whole person, body, mind and spirit. The fact that all members of a Catholic school community share the Christian vision of faith that Christ is the foundation of Catholic education is what unites the school as a faith-filled community."
Each daily event will focus on an element that makes Catholic education what it is: something very special! Catholic schools have a specific purpose to form students to be good citizens of the world, to love God and neighbors, and to enrich society through examples of faith. Through their dedication and commitment, they make our school an excellent example of how “Catholic Schools are United in Faith and Community”.
Penny Wars Returns... Let the Games Begin!
Our Theme For Catholic Schools Week: United in Faith and Community
Monday, January 29, 2024- United in Faith and Community: In Our Community
Monday of Catholic Schools Week gives us the perfect opportunity to demonstrate our connection as a community.
- Today is Team/Twin Day: students are invited to show their sense of community by dressing up in their favorite team wear OR dressing as a twin, triplet, or even a team. To participate, all students are asked to contribute $2.00 to go to one of our many St. Francis of Assisi charities.
- Penny Wars begins!
Students are the reason Catholic schools exist, and Tuesday of Catholic Schools Week is the day devoted to them. It is the day we celebrate them and encourage them on their path to becoming well-rounded, faith-filled individuals who are devoted to the service of their families, their communities, and the Church.
- Today we celebrate our students - all are invited to wear the “free dress” of their choice! Please be sure to follow our “free dress” school policies.
- Afternoon Activity: All classes will enjoy a movie of their choice and/or a pizza party!
- Career Day: Parents are invited to visit their child's classroom to speak about their vocations and careers! Presentations will begin at 1:00 PM. Please let us know if you would like to come and share your career with us by clicking here.
- Our students will also be rewarded with a “NO homework night!”
