Student council will be selling valentine/teddy grams in the morning. These are for students to purchase and send to a friend, sibling, or teacher. Parents you are also more than welcome to stop in to Mrs. Jade’s office before or after school to send one to your students as well. All grams will be delivered by the student council on Valentine’s Day.

3rd Grade has started a fractions unit in math. A great at home idea is to let your child help you cook using measuring utensils. Find a new recipe for dinner or make a new fun dessert, all while you practice fractions in a fun way with your child.

Physical Education Happenings!

In PE classes we are working hard to continue to get stronger and healthier. Our unit this past 3 weeks has been BASKETBALL. We are working on dribbling, passing and shooting. The students are getting better every day. What can you do at home? Sit down with you child and watch some basketball on TV or take them to a game, it will help them understand the games rules and all the skills needed to play the game.

In Feb. we will be spending time learning about nutrition and will begin using short and long jump ropes as well!

Stay active, be the models your children need by exercising!
