Rod's Random Thoughts
Happy Monday Hornets!
I hope you all had a great weekend and had a chance to enjoy the beautiful and crisp fall weather over the weekend. This week we host at least two playoff games at Pete's Pool, one for soccer and one for football. We will send more information out as soon as possible.
Tomorrow is Halloween and we expect that many students and staff will be wearing costumes to school. Just a friendly reminder that decorative masks that cover the face are not permitted at the high school. For safety reasons, we must be able to identify all people on campus.
Please take a minute to review the informational items this week:
- Save the Date for Fall Conferences;
- WIAA Student Athlete of the Week
- DECA
- EHS Drama Presents - Jack the Ripper
Have a great week!

DECA
EHS Junior, Avianca Bauer, is the Area 5 President in Washington DECA. One of her roles as Area 5 President is creating new initiatives to create a sense of community within DECA.
One of her intiatives for the coming year is to provide our DECA students with gently used business clothing. Being most students do not wear professional clothing this can be a costly part of membership, as it is required during competitions and conferences. Avianca's DECA initiative, “DECA Threads, could use your help. Many of you have business attire that is taking up valuable closet space. So why not donate these items and recycle them at the same time. Below are some examples of donations needed for DECA! (Donations can range from any size to style)
Men's:
- Blazers
- Business Shoes
- Button Down Shirts
- Dress Pants
- Ties
- Belts
Women's:
- Blazers
- Business Shoes
- Cardigans/Sweaters
- Button Down Shirts
- Pencil Skirts
- Business Dresses
- Dress Pants
- Belts
If you have any donations just shoot Avianca an email @ baueravi000@enumclaw.wednet.edu. You can also drop donations at the EHS main office during the week of October 30 - November 3.
