The spring conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, February 7th, Wednesday, February 8th, and Thursday, February 9th.

Longmont Estates Elementary will continue to use the online conference scheduler called Meet the Teacher. On Monday, January 23rd you will receive an email from Infinite Campus. Please make sure this message does not end up in your spam folder! This email will contain all of the information you will need to sign up for Parent Teacher Conferences.

Appointments can be made starting Monday, January 23rd at 7:00am and ending on Friday, February 3rd at 7:00pm. Should you wish to make any changes after this date please contact the school office. Please visit https://longmontestates.meettheteacher.com to book your appointments.

If you do not have access to the internet, please contact us and we will be happy to add appointments on your behalf.

Dear Families:

Save the Date! On March 16th, we will be hosting our 7th annual Innovation Fair! I've been going over the details with students this week and last, and wanted you to have all of the information needed. In Thursday folders today (1/19) you should find a one page letter with details about the fair. You will also find an interest form/permission slip students should return by January 27th to let me know if they are planning to complete a project. I am also sharing the Innovation Fair slideshow that I showed students over the past two weeks. It has a lot of helpful links to guide you through whatever project your child would like to complete.

Projects will be displayed in school on March 16th, and we will be hosting a Family STEM Night (details to come!) that evening for families to see the projects.

1st, 2nd & 3rd grade students will present their music programs on Tuesday, February 28th at LEE in the gym.

4th & 5th grade students will present their music programs on Wednesday, March 1st at LEE in the gym.

Tuesday, February 28th @ LEE

6:00- 6:30 ~ 1st grade performs “Baby Beluga”

6:45- 7:15 ~ 2nd grade performs “Partner Songs Around the World”

7:30- 8:00 ~ 3rd grade performs “Kid Flix”

Wednesday, March 1st @ LEE

6:00- 6:30 ~ 4th grade performs “Lighten Up!”

7:00-7:30 ~ 5th grade performs “Original 5th grade creations”

***Students will need to arrive 15 minutes before their program start time and go to the music room.***

Families will be able to come and go in between grade levels. Please be aware that there may be a performance in progress when you arrive. Families will be asked to stay in the front lobby until the previous performance is finished.

Dear Students, Parents, Community Members and Business Partners,

One of our favorite events of the year is the Tribute to Teachers award celebration sponsored by St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation. We love it because it recognizes and honors our outstanding teachers for their excellence in teaching.

Please help by nominating a teacher who you believe exemplifies excellence for a Teacher of the Year Award. The iPad insurance window is open again if you missed it during the first semester. Insurance for the second semester is only $12.50. If you paid for the iPad insurance at the beginning of the year, you do not need to pay again. In order for the fee to be assigned in Infinite Campus, the iPad must first be inspected. If you would like to purchase insurance for the second semester, please have your student check in with Mrs. Shaffer. Thank you!

Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It's a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Please make plans to visit our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child's reading habits.

Book Fair Dates: February 7th-10th

If you are unable to attend the Fair in person, we invite your to visit our online Book Fair at scholastic.com/fair. Our online Fair is available from February 1st - February 9th.

Silver Creek High School will host the annual Chinese New Year celebration on February 4, 2023 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. This Zero Waste event is free and open to the public and will include cultural performances, games, hands-on activity booths, and Chinese food samplings.
