Athletics
Varsity Boys Track
On April 14th, our Varsity Track team went to Brown City. Our team got 13th place with 18 points. Michael Stickler got a season record in 100M and 200M, Sean Finnigan got a season record in 800M, and Aiden Fitchett accomplished a season record for 1600M, giving him 1st place! Good job, Dryden boys!
Junior High Track
Dryden boys and girls ran at the Peck Quad on April 12. Both the boys and girls teams finished 1st in the 3200M. Claire Wright made 15.51, and Levi Fitchett got an amazing 12.51! Girls 4x100 relay took 1st place (Claire Wright, MaKayla Mater, Maddie Gammon, Bella Blatt).
At the Dryden Quad on April 19, the girls took 3rd place and the boys finished 4th.
Great job, Junior High Track team!
Varsity Girls Soccer

On Monday, April 17th, the Dryden/ Imlay City Varsity Girls Soccer Team played at Richmond High School. Dryden/ Imlay City fell to Richmond, 6-2. Jessica Peters scored both of Dryden/ Imlay City’s goals.
On Wednesday, April 19th, the Dryden/ Imlay City Varsity Girls Soccer team played at Almont High School. In a miraculous game, Dryden/ Imlay City and Almont tied the game, 3-3. Jessica Peters garnished each goal for Dryden/Imlay City.
On Thursday, April 20th, the Dryden/Imlay City Varsity Girls Soccer Team played at Byron High School. Dryden/ Imlay City lost the game to Byron, 5-2. Jessica Peters and Kierstyn Stankevich each scored one goal. Caila Fitchett had ten saves as goalkeeper.
Great job girls!
The next Varsity Dryden/ Imlay City Girls Soccer game will be played at North Branch High School on Monday, April 24 at 4:30 pm.
Varsity Softball
On April 14, Capac came to Dryden. The first game was a 15-0 loss for our Cardinals. Rilynn Lindsay pitched 3 innings, struck out 6, and gave up 7 hits, 8 walks, and 15 runs. Also, defensive nods to Lola Abromaitis, Karlie Harris, and Mikayla Fleming.
The second game was a 16-0 loss. Offensively, Madison Maday had 2 hits, Lola Abromaitis had 1 hit, and Arianna LaValla had 1 hit. Lola Abromaitis took the loss with 2 innings pitched, she struck out 2 and gave up 3 hits, 4 walks, and 10 runs. Mallory Barker saw 5 batters, she also gave up 1 hit, 3 walks, and 4 runs. Rilynn Lindsay saw 2 batters and she also gave up 1 walk and 2 runs. Contributing defensive moves were Rilynn Lindsay, Mallory Barker, Lola Abromaitis, and Mikayla Fleming.
On April 11, the Dryden Cardinals were at Marlette. The first game was a 10-0 loss. Addie Tresnak had a double; Rilynn Lindsay took the loss, 5 innings pitched, struck out 6, and gave up 6 hits, 7 walks, and 10 runs. Also, the defensive nods went to Rilynn Lindsay, Lola Abromaitis, Mikayla Fleming, Madison Maday, Brianna Snavely, and Addie Tresnak.
Dryden lost the second game 18-3. Madison Maday had 1 hit, 1 SAC, and 2 RBIs. Rilynn Lindsay had 1 hit, struck out 2, and gave up 6 hits, 7 walks, and 11 runs. Lola Abromaitis pitched 2 innings. She struck out 2 and gave up 2 hits, 5 walks, and 7 runs. Defensively, Mallory Barker, Addie Tresnak, Mikayla Fleming, Madison Maday, Rilynn Lindsay, and Lola Abromaitis supported the Cardinals.
The girls were at home and were against Deckerville on April 20. In the first game, Dryden lost 14-7. The losing pitcher was Rilynn Lindsay. She pitched 5 innings, struck out 10, and gave up 6 hits and 6 walks. Offensively, Madison Maday had a solo home run. Defensively, Brianna Sanvely, Lola Abromaitis, Mikayla Fleming, and Rilynn Lindsay made great plays.
In the second game, Dryden lost 15-5. Addie Tresnak pitched for 4 innings, struck out 5, and gave up 14 hits, 3 walks, and 14 runs. Rilynn Lindsay pitched one inning. She struck out 2, and gave up 2 walks and 1 run. Offensively, Lola Abromaitis and Brianna Snavely each had one hit, Rilynn Lindsay had 2 hits, and Addie Tresnak had 1 hit and 2 RBI. Defensively, Brianna Snavely, Lola Abromaitis, Mallory Barker, and Addie Tresnak supported their team. The team record is 0-6.
Varsity Baseball
On Thursday, April 20, the Varsity Baseball team played their first NCTL game of the season at home against Deckerville. The boys won both games with scores of 3-0 and 8-4. This makes their overall record 4-4 and their NCTL record 2-0.
Game 1 Stats (3-0 win):
Hits: Dylan Ledford, Rowan Handley, and Joey Delmotte each had 1 hit.
Runs Scored: Jayden Stankevich, Handley, and Delmotte (1 each).
RBI: Ledford (1).
Stolen Bases: Marty Barker (2), Ledford/Ian Tresnak (1 each).
Pitching: Dylan Ledford got the start and pitched a gem and got the win, throwing a 6-inning complete game no-hit shutout, walking 2, and striking out 11 Deckerville batters.
Game 2 Stats (8-4 win):
Hits: Mason Stofcheck/Marty Barker/Ian Tresnak/Rowan Handley/Josh Harris (1 hit each).
Runs Scored: Barker (3), Dylan Ledford (2), Tresnak/Owen Gall/Joey Delmotte (1 each).
RBI: Stofcheck (2), Tresnak/Stankevich (1 each).
Stolen Bases: Barker/Ledford (2), Tresnak/Handley/Harris (1 each).
Pitching: Marty Barker got the start and the win, pitching a 5-inning complete game on his birthday! He gave up 1 earned run on 9 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4 Eagles batters.
You can watch the varsity boys baseball team play Marlette at home this Monday the 24th.
Dryden Basketball Skills Camp
Coach Cramer is a former overseas pro and college athlete. He has coached at the high school and junior high level in the U.S. and in Germany. He trains thousands of athletes each year from throughout the country. He is known for his intensity and detailed instruction.
