Greetings Brethren,

I hope that this newsletter finds you all doing well and staying safe.

Our next quarterly business meeting is scheduled to be held on Tuesday 27 October 2020. The location has been changed to Rosenberg Lodge No. 881 to allow for better social distancing so that more Brethren can participate. One of the items on the agenda for that meeting will be the election of MWSA officers for 2021. I would love to see wider participation in the MWSA leadership from around our great District. If you are desirous to make yourself available for a leadership position, please send me your Masonic resumé along with the position for which you are making yourself available by 19 October 2020. I will compile the information and send it to the district so that our Brothers can make informed decisions. The positions available are President (one-year term), Vice-President (one-year term), Chaplain (two-year term), and IT/Support (two-year term).

We will also hold the 2020 Briscoe Workshop. This educational workshop is incredibly helpful for all Master Masons, especially those who wish to assume leadership positions within their Lodges. This program is being put on by our District Service Team. R:.W:. Borst and Past Master Cockroft are working hard to coordinate and put on an informative and worthwhile workshop.

Due to the continued hold on called meetings, we are canceling the MWSA called meeting scheduled to be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020. However, our DI, Past Master Cockroft, will be hosting a school of instruction on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at 8:00 AM at Rosenberg Lodge No. 881. We will go over many aspects of our esoteric and floor work. This event is being held at Rosenberg Lodge for social distancing.

Lastly, I would like to remind you about the Committee on Work Forum and Exam scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Morton Lodge No. 72. R:.W:. Kenneth Young will conduct the event. All Master Masons are encouraged to attend, even if you do not plan on sitting for a certificate exam. It will be a wonderful learning opportunity. The event is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM.

We hope to see many of our Brethren at these events.

The next MWSA Business Meeting will take place on Tuesday 27 October 2020 at Rosenberg Lodge No. 881 at 7:00 PM.

Past Master Cody Cockroft, District Instructor, will host a School of Instruction for Master Masons on Saturday 26 September 2020 at Rosenberg Lodge No. 881 beginning at 8:00 AM. We hope you will be able to make it!

This year, the District #108 Forum and Exam by R:.W:. Kenneth Young of the Committee on Work will be held on Saturday 3 October 2020 at Morton Lodge #72. Even if you do not plan on sitting for an exam, it is still important to attend the event. Everyone will learn something through observing and taking part in the forum as well as observing the exam if you do not plan to sit for a certificate. District #108 should have a very strong showing at the event.

Morton Lodge is currently coordinating with R:.W:. Young of the Committee on Work to schedule a graded EA Degree as soon as possible. Details will be sent out once it is scheduled. Let's be sure to support our Lodges as they take on the excellent undertaking of graded degrees!

Morton Lodge has completed the third edition of the book on its history. Copies maybe purchased from Worshipful Master Davis for $20.

Come and join us for Study Nights on Mondays at Morton Lodge #72 and Wednesdays at Rosenberg Lodge #881 from 5:30 to 8:30. During both nights, we are currently concentrating on performing the EA Degree to keep up on our esoteric skills and knowledge. Monday night is led by Brother Eric Beane and Rosenberg night is led by Brother John Bradley and Proctored by Brother Cody Cockroft, District Instructor #108. Hope to see you there. Don't forget your mask.

Imperial Chapter, Order of DeMolay was set to work on Saturday 31 August 2019. DeMolay is a wonderful organization for young men from 12-21 years of age. It strives to teach virtues and help young men grow into responsible and committed members of society.

This will take some work on the part of whoever controls the individual Lodge's Google Calendar, but it will be well worth the time investment.
