Meal Information 2024-2025
Woodland Primary School
Woodland is excited to introduce our new food service vendor, Quest Food Management Services!
For families who are new to the district, or have not participated in the meal program before, Woodland provides breakfast and lunch service at each school. Families are able to add money into their child’s account through Skyward to purchase meals. There is also a Free and Reduced Meal Program for families that qualify (Applications available in August). More information about school breakfast and lunch options, including menus and FAQs, can be found on the district website under “Meal Programs”.
Options for Students
Students in kindergarten will have 3 options each day. They will have the option to eat breakfast, lunch, and a snack.
****Students in EC/WELE will either have the breakfast or lunch option based on being an AM or PM student. Teachers will share snack guidelines at Welcome Times for our EC/WELE students.
Breakfast: Students in kindergarten can order a school breakfast or bring a breakfast item from home. If ordering a school breakfast, they need to fill out the pre-order form for the month. If the family wants to order day by day, they still fill out the form, but it needs to be filled out 24 hours in advance. Students go directly to breakfast from the bus or parent drop-off. Not all students participate in this option, it's up to each family to decide. What is important is discussing this with your child so that they know whether they are to go to breakfast or go straight to their classroom.
The kindergarten order form for August is HERE.
EC/WELE order form for August is HERE.
Lunch: Students in kindergarten have the option to bring a lunch from home or a school lunch. When they arrive at school each day, they will tell their teacher whether they need to order a lunch or if they brought one from home. Information about our school lunches is below with pricing.
Snack:
Snacks are meant to help students sustain their focus, feel energized, and prepared for activity. Below are the guidelines for our snack procedure:
Snacks must be healthy and good for our students. (Sugary treats or dessert-like snacks will not be allowed.)
Please only send one snack, multiple snacks are not needed.
Snacks should be light and appropriate for a child.
Snacks need to be easy to eat. Please do not send snacks that require forks, plates, or extra items.
Snack is optional and will be very brief. If your child doesn’t bring in a snack we will not be providing a snack for them.
Snack needs to be separated from their lunch box and clearly marked so that your child doesn’t eat them during our lunch period.
