Amazon Teacher Wish Lists: Want to help provide things for the classrooms but don’t know what teachers need? We have set up a wish list for each of our teachers to fill out as they have needs through Amazon. If you are interested, please see our PTO Facebook page.
BOXTOPS!! Since the Boxtop company has switched from clipping BoxTops to scanning your receipt through their app, we have seen a drastic decrease in participation. PLEASE consider downloading the APP and taking the time to scan your receipt when you shop! It’s super simple and helps our schools a lot!
Thank you for all your support! It really does MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

LIBRARY NEWS
Holiday fun abounded in the library in December (see the pics!), along with the usual mad rush to reach 2nd nine weeks AR goals. As always, Gambino’s of Towanda is providing free pizza coupons to students who accomplished that task. The following students achieved the honor of being the top point earners in their grade level:
3rd Grade:
1st - Jayce Allen
2nd - Max Nelson
3rd - Rylen Kon
4th Grade:
1st - Knox Kessler
2nd - Brysen Kon
3rd - Chalmers Sarkett
5th Grade:
1st - Henry Koehn
2nd - Teddy Martin
3rd - Rosa Grace
6th Grade:
1st - Aryia Barker
2nd - Jaydra Gibson
3rd - Abree Smith
Aryia Barker, Jaydra Gibson, and Knox Kessler earned the distinction of “Beating My Total”--meaning they racked up more points than the 66.3 that I collected taking AR tests and earned a can of pop for their efforts! Awards ceremonies will take place the first week after the break.
Also during that first week back, both libraries will have a discarded book sale. Students may shop during the school day, January 4-7. At the primary library, used books will be sold for a quarter a piece. At the intermediate library, the going rate will be everything you can fit in a grocery bag for $1!
Happy New Year!
Lynne Smith
CTE Librarian

Early Childhood Role Models for 2022-23 school year
Circle Towanda is looking for peer models for our Early Childhood classroom!
What is a peer model? A peer model is a child who serves as a role model to the other students with special needs by demonstrating appropriate play, communication, and social skills.
Who can be a peer model? Children ages 3-5 are encouraged to apply. Your child must be 3.5 by Sept.1, and cannot be eligible for Kindergarten (turning 5 before Sept. 1).
What does the class cost? The only fee is CGE’s standard enrollment fee, which is $27.50 for the half-day program.
What is the process to become a peer model?
- Fill out an application (ask for one in the front office). Deadline is March 1, 2022.
- Attend a screening during March (details TBA).
- Eligible children will be randomly selected by a drawing for the 2022-23 school year and you will be notified by mail. Questions? Please contact Stefanie Sage, Early Childhood teacher at ssage@usd375.org or by calling the school office at 316-536-2728
