Child maltreatment

This year's required professional development is child maltreatment and it can be accessed through the Arkansas IDEAS website. Below I have attached a link to the website. The course consists of 4 lessons with 3-4 videos and 1 quiz at the end. You must also take an assessment between lesson 2 and lesson 4 and complete the survey at the end of the course. Once you complete the course make sure you print or email your certificate to Kathy Coker at Kathy.coker@tasd7.net.


We will provide time during our August 9th PD day for you to complete this training or you may complete this course during the summer break.

Science Textbook Adoption Update

The 3rd and 4th grade science textbook adoption will be going to the board for approval on July 13th. Grades K-2 will adopt a new textbook in the 2018-2019 school year. If approved, grades 3 and 4 will have training with the new science curriculum on July 31st (details will be provided after board approval.) Since the original plan was to have k-4 science PD on the 31st, Trice will host a curriculum planning PD for our K-2 teachers on the 31st for those needing the PD hours.
