Seniors! Please check your school email for any library books and/or fines that you may owe! Mrs. Kline has sent an email detailing what is outstanding. These must be cleared in order to graduate! The list of students owing fines is posted in the hall next to the Sub Office near E-I Alpha House. See Mrs. Kline or Mrs. Ramirez in the library if you have questions.

If you have received a letter from the School Nurse about delinquent immunizations, summer is the perfect time to get caught up on those or get an updated affidavit or updated records from your doctor's office. Once you get these missing immunizations you can send a copy of the record with your student on the first day of school on August 13,2025 or Email them to barbara.brown@lubbockisd.org or fax it to 806-766-0509.

Also any student who has medication in the Nurse's office needs to have those picked up by a Parent by 8/20/25. Otherwise any medication left in the clinic will be sent to Central office to be destroyed.

Yearbooks are HERE! They will be passed out to students this week during both lunches!

If you haven't bought one yet, there are still a few left to purchase!

Seniors

All graduating seniors will be able to keep their chromebooks. They will be scanned during the English classes on Monday, May 19th so all seniors need to bring their chromebooks on that day. This will remove the device from the LISD inventory as well as drop all LISD restrictions from the device following the LISD summer school sometime at the end of June or first of July. Any senior not here on Monday, May 19th will need to bring their chromebook to the library to be scanned prior to the last day of school or the LISD restrictions will not come off the device.

All other grade levels

All chromebooks and chargers will be turned in on Wednesday, May 22nd during the English classes. All 9th - 11th graders must have their devices here on that day. The chromebook and charger will be stored for the summer and any needed repairs and updates will be done. If any student is not here on Wednesday, May 22nd, they will need to bring their devices to the library prior to the last day of school or be charged for the chromebook and charger. If you know you will not be here on that day, please turn in your devices ahead of time to avoid these charges.

Summer School Students

All students who attend summer school will turn in their chromebook and charger during their English class on Wednesday, May 22nd. They will be given their devices back at the start of summer school and then turn them back in when they complete their summer school requirements.

Our daily announcements are now available to YOU on the Monterey Website. These are posted daily and will be a great tool for you to stay in the know about what's going on day to day at MHS!
