LVMS WINTER SPORTS INFORMATION: The deadline to submit Winter Sports Physicals / Paperwork has passed. Physicals / Paperwork can no longer be submitted at this point.

Reminders
RED RIBBON WEEK 2023: Recognized nationally, Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, smoking, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign. This week will be a Spirit Week at LVMS with events each day to promote drug use prevention. Specific Spirit Days included below.
PENNY WARS: Sponsored by the LVMS PTA, this week is Penny Wars at LVMS! Students can participate for Spirit Points by putting coins in their houses bin. More information included below!
ANNUAL PINK OUT SPIRIT DAY / PHOTO: The LVMS annual Pink Out Spirit Day and Photo will take place on Tuesday, October 24th (weather permitting). As a reminder, the Student Council is selling pink bracelets during lunch periods. All Proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer.
STUFF THE BUS: The week of October 30th will begin the LVMS Annual Stuff the Bus item drive. More information included below about items that are in needed at the Long Valley Food Pantry.

Daily Announcements
7th & 8th Grade Halloween Dance
When: Friday, October 27, 2023 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM
Where: LVMS - N. Gym
Tickets: $10 per student
Additional Information:
-School appropriate costumes are encouraged
-There will be a DJ, Photo booth, Snacks, and a Costume Contest
-Pizza will be available for purchase
-Tickets will be sold during all lunch periods 10/23 - 10/27
Students must submit or share the Wall of Honor with their Social Studies teachers no later than Thursday, November 2nd.

LVMS Fall Picture Update / Picture Retake Day

**Please visit the link above if you would like to order photos - physical photo packages and digital copies emailed instantly are available**
- If you already ordered prints from Lors Studio, they were sent home with students during homeroom last Monday, October 16th
- If you ordered a photo package AFTER picture day (9/21), those photos will be mailed directly home. If there was an issue with your photo or order, please contact Lors Studio directly.
- Students only received pictures if a photo package was purchased.
- There are no preview photos or images provided to families; families will only see their student photo if they ordered a picture package; a preview image can be seen when students receive their Student ID (to be received in the upcoming weeks)
Picture Retake Day: Thursday, November 2nd
- Students that missed picture day (on 9/21/23) are required to have their photo taken
- Any student that purchased a picture packages and wants a retake, the photos must be returned to the photographer on the morning of Picture Retake Day (11/2)

Penny Wars - October 23rd - 27th
The LVMS PTA is sponsoring Penny Wars during all lunch periods next week, October 23rd - October 27th. Each house will have their own bin to put coins in. All coins are worth points and all bills subtract points. The house with the most points will win Spirit Points for House Wars.
