Visual & Performing Arts
Madrigals
- Our Madrigals have been on a recent "tour" performing at various events throughout our community. Today they travelled to the CNTA (Corona-Norco Teachers Association) office in Norco to perform for the Retired Teachers Association. On December 4th they performed at RCC's Winter Fest.
- Don't miss our Annual WInter Concert on December 10th in our Performing Arts Center. Please contact Mrs. Amy Eden for more info (aeden@cnusd.k12.ca.us).
Digital Photography
Photographers in Digitial Photography 2 were tasked with creating their own macro-studio to capture images of water drops. While they received no help from their mentor, they were able to use knowledge of shutter speed, ISO, light placement, and composition to create these truly amazing images. This collaboration is stunning! They did an amazing job and really enjoyed this activity. Some were very pleased with the work they produced!
NJROTC
- NJROTC won 3 trophies in Drill at our Last Drill Meet at Chaparral High on November 23rd. The competition was against all branches of service and judged by Active Duty Marines out of Camp Pendleton. Our Armed and Unarmed drill teams Achieved high marks throughout the competition competing against 18 ROTC units from throughout Southern California.
- On December 9th & 10th our cadets will be performing community service for the Settlement House from 4:00-7:00 pm. This marks our 18th year supporting this valuable organizaiont for the less fortunate during the holidays.
- On December 14th, NJROTC Drill Teams will compete at Orange Glen High School in Escondido. Our Color Guard and Armed/Unarmed drill teams will once again represent Corona High in a highly competitive drill event that will be judged by Marine Corps Drill Instructors out of MCRD San Diego. To promote RAWR behaviors (see below), WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading), and overall Health and Wellness for all staff and students, we are implementing Panthers Gettin' Fit. Each Month, Panthers will focus on a different RAWR behavior. Each week, Panthers will focus on a different component of WICOR in the classroom and a different component of health.
