Teacher Appreciation Month

Please join us in celebrating some of the hardest working, most caring teachers around. Each day in May we will celebrate a Buchanan High School Teacher and honor their dedication to their students and school community. I couldn't ask to be a part of a more cohesive, loving, comical bunch of teachers and I am so proud to be a part of this BUCK FAMILY!

Profe is my 6th hour teacher even though it is her prep, I just sit in her classroom. Profe is an amazing teacher. Last year in Spanish I always looked forward to her class. I have enjoyed talking to Profe and getting to know her. She is always there for her students. I also loved traveling with her to Costa Rica and am very excited for the Galapagos.

Ms. English: she is always super fun to be around, even when I went to Costa Rica with her she always had a smile on her face.

Ms. English, This was my second year in your class. My first year with you wasn’t so hot and we both know that. I’m very grateful to have gotten a second try at your class. I looked forward to your class and seeing you every single day from the first week of school until the last day before break. When you had a sub I was as always a little bummed because I knew I wouldn’t get to see you. Your classroom was a sort of safe place. When I walk through the door any and all stress I had would stay at the door. I was able to relax and have a lot of fun. I’ve never had a teacher allow me to bring in tea and drink it during class, that was a lot of fun. You’re an extremely fun teacher and getting to spend my year with you was super fun. We got to do so many awesome things, this year has been great, I’m so excited to see what next year holds!

My favorite thing about Mrs.English is that she is always in a good mood and her positive energy rubs off on us.

Miss.English has such a bubbly personality, even when our class is being rude and loud she never loses faith in us. She tried her hardest to teach us the Spanish material in fun new ways. I loved when we danced on Fridays it was the highlight of my week.

Mrs. English is a great teacher, she makes sure you’re okay and over the break I’ve opened up to her a lot. She always tries to make sure there’s a smile on your face while you’re in the classroom.

I had the pleasure of having Miss. English for 3 years. That’s more years than I had for any other teacher. Her class was always so fun and felt like a welcome break from the routine of other classrooms, meaning I got to do lots of drawing, playing games, making cool projects. She always did such a good job of making class not boring and I loved that she was always thinking of new ideas. I was really sad that Spanish four never fit into my schedule, but luckily (corona willing) I will be able to go to France, Italy, and Spain with her next summer. I miss her right now, but I am looking forward to taking this trip with her!

I’ve always loved Mrs English because she just wants to have a deeper connection than just student and teacher it’s like a family and she always makes sure you as a student are okay in class and or outside of class

Profe English is one of the most effective and passionate teachers I've ever had. Her enthusiasm makes a world of difference.

Mrs. English is my first hour, and I enjoyed playing the games she had in store, especially when she hands out hot chocolate in class. The spicy candies are sharp and spicy, but they were tasty nonetheless.

Ms.English is always trying to think of new ways to teach us Spanish, and never fails to make us laugh.
