Primary Bears,

We had 107 students turn in the Schlitterbahn Waves of Pages reading log. These students have earned a FREE ticket to Schlitterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels. CONGRATULATIONS!

We are so PROUD of you! Certificate Delivery will be no later than Friday, April 19, 2024. Tickets are valid from Saturday, April 20 through Sunday, June 30 and from Monday, August 12 through Monday, September 2nd.

Our 2nd Grade Bear Cubs Care Club is sponsoring a "Souper Bowl of Caring" food drive to benefit the La Vernia Food Pantry. See the graphic below for more details.

We will keep it simple. No deliveries on this day. Keep balloons, flowers, etc. at home for your Valentine!

Does your child read at home? Students who only read at school do not make the academic gains that their peers do who read each evening at home. If you need books for home, please reach out to your child's teacher, Mrs. Saulter, or our Intervention Team and we will help you out! Help your child make the year's worth of growth in reading by having them read each evening.

A few highlights:

-A student cannot miss more than 15 days a school year (excused or unexcused).

-You must send a note within 3 days of absence.

Each day a class doesn't have a student tardy, the class will get to add a sticker to its 100s chart. Remember our tardy bell is 7:25 am. Help your child arrive to school on time!

Our meal payments platform, Titan Family Portal, has been upgraded to LINQ Connect. Be
sure to download the new LINQ Connect App in the Google Play or Apple Store available now and
visit LINQConnect.com if you use a browser. No need to change your username or password. All your information will be transferred to the new site for your convenience.

Also, be sure your little bear has an extra set of clothes in their back pack to change in the event of an accident/spill.

• Seating is outside only, so keep an eye on weather
• You may eat only with your child, not other children
• Do not take video or photographs of other children
• Students may not take leftover drinks and food down the halls to the classrooms.
• You must sign in and out at the front office
