Argo Summer School Programs
We have brought back our Pathways program for this summer. This is our English Bridge and Algebra Bridge. These two classes are good for any students who may not have passed ELA or math during this past year or any students needing more work in either or both of these areas. Pathways classes are open only to incoming 9th graders.
We also are offering our Human Geography class again. This is a full credit and the course runs the entire curriculum. This has been a really good class in the past for students in music or other electives who cannot fit in their 9th grade social studies class and the elective in their schedule. This class will have about 5 hours of learning each day with 3 of those hours happening each day in the building and 2 of the hours happening online.
We also are offering our digital photography basic class. Students have enjoyed this class in the past. Both the photography and human geography classes are open to all students, including incoming 9th graders.
Our plan is to run summer school in the building.
Argo will mail home additional information in May. Please read the brochure below.
Sports Update
- Our Girls JV and Varsity Soccer teams have shown great improvements this season! While they have not experienced any game wins, their growth is tremendous!
- Mayrin S. (7th Grade) scored the first goal goal of the season for the Sailors!
- Boys Volleyball battled Freedom and Heritage/Berwyn in close matches but were defeated. They will play Unity Jr. High on Thursday 4/22/21.
- Girls’ basketball lost to Mokena Jr. High on Wednesday. While our 7th and 8th grade teams were defeated, our 6th grade team brought home a 12-4 victory! The girls basketball teams play at Chicago Heights on Thursday 4/22/21.
- Scholastic Bowl finished their season competing against Barrington Jr. High in their last match. Even though they were not victorious, Mrs. Zipprich was very pleased with the improvements our scholastic bowl team showed throughout the season. We are very proud of them!
