THANK YOU to all families, students, and staff for your patience over the last five days as we have adapted to the new 3-tier bus system. Note: there may continue to be slight routing adjustments for bus routes as we welcome new enrollments to our district.

Parents/Guardians - should you have a question about a child's arrival time home after school, please call our office (317-532-6800) to determine if your child's bus was late for afternoon pick-up, which could mean your child will arrive home a bit later than usual. The most efficient way for you to get in touch with someone would be to call the number above.

If your student is a car rider in the MORNING, please note the following:

• You can access Creston Car Rider Procedures for this school year HERE.
• Students may begin exiting cars around 8:35 a.m.
• Students will be supervised by CIMS Staff until it's time to enter the building for classes (8:50 a.m.)
• All cars are expected to follow the directions of school staff to ensure the safety of EVERYONE.

If your student is a car rider in the AFTERNOON, please note the following:

• Students are not dismissed from school until 3:50 p.m. (grades 5/6) and 3:55 p.m. (grades 7/8).
• Parents/Cars are NOT permitted to park in the parking spaces or in the neighborhood entrance across the street from CIMS and wait for your child to avoid the car line. All parents/guardians picking up students must wait in the car line and pick up your student on the curb.
• Please pull all the way forward when you arrive to help with efficiency.
• The only students who should be crossing the street are those who live in the neighborhood. Otherwise, students will need to wait outside of Door 1 for your car to approach.
• All cars are expected to follow the directions of school staff to ensure the safety of EVERYONE.

Athletics Announcements from this Week

• Attention to any 5th through 8th grade girl who wants to participate in girls golf this Fall. There will be a callout meeting on Monday, August 5, at 6 pm at Morningstar Golf Course. Please plan on attending to receive info for the season.
• Volleyball tryouts, cheer tryouts, cross country practice and boys tennis practice will all begin after school on Monday, August 5. If you are planning to come to tryouts or practice next week, be sure to get your physical turned in. You will not be able to try out or practice without a current physical on file with the athletic director, Mr. Treesh. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Treesh in the lunch room.
  
• Tryouts for the Boys and Girls soccer teams begin on Monday, August 5, 2019 after school. This is open to all students grade 6-8 and meets Monday through Friday from 4-6:15PM. Athletes must have a current physical on file with the Athletic director to tryout. Athletes should have shin guards, a ball, and water for tryouts. Parents should pick up athletes at ESSA fields on German Church Road across from Creston. If you have questions, please ask Mr. Treesh, Mr. Peckham, or Mrs. Harris.
