Our school system will watch the possible impending arrival of Hurricane Dorian over the next several days. If schools close due to bad weather, the school system may decide to have a Digital Learning Day. Please read the flyer below about what to do if we have a Digital Learning Day.

Parents will find a Media Release form today in your child's folder. This form is called an "Opt Out" form. If you do not want your child's picture in any school-related publication such as class roster, yearbook, etc., please sign the form and return it to your child's teacher Tuesday morning.

There is no need to return the form if you allow us to include your child's picture in school publications.

Get your creative juices flowing and participate in Reflections this year. The theme is "Look Within."

We encourage ALL superstar students at Simpson to create original works of art. You can choreograph a dance, produce a film, write a literary masterpiece, compose your own music, take amazing photographs, and create visual art. You can create up to three and in more than one category. So, TELL US YOUR STORIES, kids!

Rules and entry forms are available in Simpson Square and on our PTA website.

All entries are judged on three criteria:

(1) Interpretation of Theme,

(2) Creativity, and

(3) Technique.

All entries must be turned in before the 8:50 am bell rings on Thursday, September 19th and Friday, September 20th.

This is the last week for the Charleston Wrap Fundraiser!

**Please use the following website to register your student https://charlestonwrapstore.com/studentregistration.php or if you are on the Charleston Wrap homepage, you just need to click on the "SHOP NOW" red box in the upper right hand corner. Our school code is 11579.**

Continue to have your child turn in their sale coupons (found at the bottom of the prize poster from their packet) on a daily basis. The coupons go in the “Charleston Wrap Coupon” box (wrapped in brick wrapping paper) in Simpson Square. There is also a large box covered in wrapping paper in Simpson Square where completed sales packets with order forms can be turned in.

Final order forms are due Friday, September 6th. Thank you!

Join us on Tuesday September 10th when Dads and kids have breakfast together! We have fun, food and fellowship!!!

When parents, grandparents, and visitors come for lunch, can we bring in outside food since it's a special visit? While we recognize having a visitor is a special occasion, we want to support our cafeteria. Please do not bring in outside food. Enjoy the special food for dinner! Thank you!
