Trollwood's mission is to inspire those we serve through the arts to realize their full potential and be a positive influence in the global community. In doing so, we believe in having resources for our students beyond our arts programming. Students, please be extra careful in the parking lot! There are a lot of cars out there and many people coming and going throughout the day. Please drive slowly and take extra time parking, opening your doors, and especially backing out. If you do have an accident, it needs to be reported to the Front Office staff right away. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!

Please bring a water bottle and remember to drink water throughout the day!

Students at Trollwood Performing Arts School are settled in to their classes and are really digging in to growing as young artists. With the first week out of the way, they are hitting their groove and gaining confidence and skills. After having perfect weather for the first week of classes, this week got a little muggy and a little windy, but that didn't stop the students from enjoying all of their classes. Each week, Trollwood Performing Arts School will celebrate its senior students through feature articles. You will get to know each each of our seniors and what their plans are for life after high school. Seniors will also be recognized in a ceremony during Sun Celebration on Wedneday, June 29. Please join us in congratulating them and wishing them luck in their future endeavors!

Nate Krause, a 2022 graduate of Park Christian School, has been involved with Trollwood since first grade! He was in the the orchestra for the Mainstage Musicals Hello Dolly!, Freak Friday, and Cinderella. He was in The Trollwood Players productions of Timepieces, and Life Cycles, and is a member of the cast for this summer's TTP show The Best of Trollwood Sketch Comedy. Sun Celebration IS BACK in 2022! Come see the fruits of Trollwood Performing Arts School's talented students' hard work this summer! Whether their talent is acting, filmmaking, dancing, or singing, all of our students have worked hard this summer to develop and grow in those skills. At Sun Celebration, the community is invited to walk with us through a typical day at Trollwood. Enjoy performances and demonstrations from our summer programs in an open house environment and get a firsthand glimpse at what Trollwood is all about! With a musical set in Hollywood, naturally there has to be some filmmaking glitz and glam. The show features movies within the musical. The Singin' in the Rain team, led by director Michael Walling, will be filming these movies this summer! Check back here for weekly previews of the casts of the movies within the musical. This week we're featuring Samuel Swenson as the Professor of Sound in the 2023 production of Singin' in the Rain!

In the words of Singin' in the Rain's Cosmo Brown, "The show must go on! Come rain, come shine, come snow, come sleet! The show must go on!" Even though the Mainstage Musical is postponed a year, the Singin' in the Rain crew is still hard at work preparing for Summer 2023!

The first group of Grades K-2 ArtSpark students worked hard all week to perfect their show Grumpy Monkey and got to show off that hard work during their performance on Friday June, 10 at Carl Ben Eielson Middle School! The show was directed by Shanara Lassig and Jessica Kuntz. Check out the photos below!

Trollwood Performing Arts School offers rewarding volunteer opportunities working with positive and fun people to benefit a great cause! There’s a place for everyone at Trollwood! You can volunteer in any area that interests you and no experience is required. We’d love for YOU to join the Trollwood volunteer force. Without our dedicated volunteers, Trollwood would not be able to have such a positive impact on the youth of our region.

We would love your assistance at Sun Celebration on June 29!

Opportunities include:

• 6 Picnic Servers (in Marcil Commons) from 4-6:45 p.m.
• 2 Welcome Table/Schedule Dispersers from 4:30-7:15 p.m.
• 2 Kid's Activities Workers from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
• 2 Golf Cart Drivers from 4:30-9 p.m.
• 2 Parkers from 5-9:15 p.m.
• 2 Popcorn Poppers/Servers from 4-9 p.m.
• 2 Concessions/Merchandise Workers from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
• 2 Driving Concessions Workers from 6:30-9 p.m.

We could also use volunteers to help with costume alterations and ushers for Totally Trollwood Musical, Trollwood Children's Theatre, and Trollwood Players.
