6th Grade Information
Nature's Classroom Chaperones
This is a last call for all parents who are interested in chaperoning the Nature's Classroom trip. Forms will be going home next week to all parents who have stated they are interested in chaperoning. All parents must also have a CORI on file. Chaperones will not be finalized until February. Please reach out to Mrs. Wenzel (mwenzel@wbridgewater.com) if you would like to have your name added to the list.
Hilliard's Candy Sales
As a reminder all 6th grade students were sent home on Wednesday, November 29 with a box of 20 Hilliards chocolate candy bars to sell. We ask that every student planning to attend Nature's Classroom try to sell one box of candy bars. The cost is $2.50 per bar. Students can return the $50 for the entire sale, or a mixture payment of money and unsold candy bars. We are happy to provide additional boxes to motivated students who wish to sell more. Please turn in the money in a labeled envelope or a ziploc bag to your child’s homeroom teacher. If possible we greatly appreciate sending in larger bills or checks made out to the Howard School.
4th and 5th Grade Dance
The Little Leo's Club and Student Council are hosting a Winter Wonderland 4th and 5th grade dance on December 20th. It will be from 5:00 to 6:30 in the gym and cafe. The forms for the dance will be passed out on Friday, 12/1. Tickets are $5.00 and details about chaperoning are on the form. The 6th grade Winter Wonderland dance will be held in February.
Little Leo's Update
Little Leo's Coat Drive
The Little Leo’s is having a coat drive from now until Dec. 12th. Please donate gently used coats of all sizes at the box at the front office. All coats are donated to Anton’s Coats for Kids. Thank you from the Little Leo’s club!
Sock it to me Sock Drive
Little Leo’s is also promoting Matt Navin’s “Sock it to me” sock drive. Please donate new socks of any size at the box at the office. All socks are donated to help the homeless in Brockton. Matt will collect the bin Dec. 15th.
Ms. Roberts- Phys Ed
Starting after Christmas Break, there will be a new rule put in place for gym. The rule is as follows: Any student who is not in sneakers or closed-toe active shoes will not be allowed to participate. This includes crocs, booties, rain boots, snow boots, sandals, slides, etc. Due to safety concerns this is being put in place as it has become an increasingly prevalent occurrence. Feel free to pack a change of shoes on your child's gym day or leave a pair in their locker if needed! Thank you!
School Lunch
Adding money for a la carte items: While meals are free, students must have money on their accounts to buy extra items. Milk is available for students that bring meals from home for $.75 at all schools and Howard and the MSHS offer many healthy snacks and bottled water. Cash and checks are accepted and electronic payments can be made through MySchoolBucks. You will need your child's 10-digit SASID# to register for a MySchoolBucks account.
