SOAR LIKE AN EAGLE!

The calendar has flipped and the month of August is upon us! It is almost impossible to not think about the start of the school year once we hit this turning point in the summer. This time of year is always so exciting and we are working hard to put this building back together so that our kids and families have a wonderful building to come into as we start the 2022-2023 school year.

We have done a lot of moving in the building this summer. All of our classrooms received new carpet and this provided us the opportunity to shift our rooms around a little bit to accommodate the increase in total sections. The shifting of classrooms also allowed for all of our primary students (4K-2nd) to be on one side of the building and all of our intermediate students (3rd-5th) to be on the other side of the building. Almost all of our grade levels now have four sections or four teachers at their respective grade level. Typically, we usually see about three sections per grade level. In recent weeks an additional section of first was added to our growing building. The increase in sections is providing us with smaller class sizes for each grade level. I know this is welcomed news for all of us!

I hope that everyone continues to enjoy their summer and recognize that there is still plenty of time to create those special summer memories. We are looking forward to hearing all about your summer adventures when we see you in just a few weeks! Hello! My name is Kyla Sanders and this is my 5th year at Rose Glen. I have worked in Special Education, and am very excited to transition into the Health Room! I have enjoyed working with the students and families of Rose Glen and am looking forward to another wonderful school year!

My children are in 5th and 1st grade. We adopted a dog this year named Ava. She is so gentle and has been such a wonderful addition to our family.

It is always exciting to know how many sections of each grade level we have and who the teachers at each grade level will be in the upcoming school year! I believe this year has to be a year with the most amount of sections. This year we have three to four teacher per grade level. Below is the tentative plan for the upcoming school year. Hello! My name is Kimberli Potteiger and I am new to Rose Glen Elementary! I am honored to teach Kindergarten within such a wonderful school community. I believe the old adage that it takes a village to raise a child. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your village this year! I look forward to growing relationships with my students and their families!

On a personal note, my husband and I have five pretty great children! We have two girls as book ends and three boys in the middle. We love road-trips and enjoy the ride almost as much as the destination! I am excited to learn more about all of you too!

Hello! My name is Chrissy Chmielak and I am excited to be joining the team at Rose Glen! This school year will start my seventeenth year of teaching! I am originally from Illinois and moved to Wisconsin for college. I live in Waukesha with my husband and three kids. We love to spend time outside, playing games, and visiting friends and family. I am looking forward to a school year full of learning and fun!

Hello! My name is Theresa Wichser and I'm so excited to be a part of the Rose Glen Elementary School team. Teaching is something that I've always wanted to purse and I'm so excited that I get the chance to start that journey with your children. I graduated from Carroll University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I was also a member of the Women's Basketball Team. This will be my first year teaching. Prior to teaching, I worked as a camp counselor through Waukesha, Parks, Recreation & Forestry. I love working with children and helping them succeed. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing basketball, and reading. I look forward to meeting you and your children in the fall! Did you order a school supply kit at then end of last school year? You can pick yours up on Picture Day (Aug. 18th) from 11-5pm.

We are excited to meet YOU and tell you all about the wonderful things PTO does for the school. We will be at the 4K/K Jumpstart (Aug. 16) passing out flyers as well as at our info booth on Picture Day (Aug. 18). Stop by and say hi!

PTO is still looking for volunteers to help run the following events:

• Teacher Meals (shadow with a Chair): There are 2 meals to plan in October and 2 in February.
• 2 Auditors to help check over our budget books before October 7th.
• Chicken BBQ Raffle Team Members: There are already 2 chairs on this team. Sign up for a month to help out or the full year until CBBQ time. You can help by emailing/calling companies for donations or picking up donation items for our famous CBBQ Raffle.
