Blair Oaks FFA chapter is celebrating National FFA Week. It’s a time to share what FFA is and the impact it has on members every day. FFA will celebrate with a Spirit Week.

Random Acts of Kindness Club and sponsor, Annie King, have special plans to unite our study body and promote awareness to prevent bullying. This will also be a Spirit Week for high school students and staff.

ACT for Blair Oaks for Juniors

• Who: Juniors who previously signed up for testing

Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!

What: Blood Drive at St. Stanislaus

When: Sunday, March 14th, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where: St. Stanislaus Gym

St. Stan partners with Blair Oaks to qualify for scholarships from the Red Cross. The amount we receive depends on the number of pints collected. Volunteering at any blood drive will increase your chances of earning a scholarship.

All parents and students are invited to donate blood to support Blair Oaks High School and American Red Cross Scholarships.

The Cooperative Youth Conference and Leadership Experience (CYCLE) is a three-day leadership opportunity available to high school sophomores. The event takes place in Jefferson City July 21–July 23. Students from all over the state come together to make new friends, learn about government, cooperatives, and hone leadership skills. Twelve students will be chosen as finalists with six students attending the conference and six students each receiving a cash prize. Applications and contest rules can be found by clicking on the links below. Application deadline is March 24th.

The Blair Oaks R-II School District Board of Education approved the 2021-22 school calendar and new names for the district's four school buildings on Tuesday, Feb. 9th.

• The first day of school in the fall will be August 23, 2021.

  Grades 3-5, Blair Oaks Intermediate School

Blair Oaks R-II School District is planning to have Summer School, pending state funding. Should this information change, parents/community members will be informed as soon as possible. The following information is tentative, but we wanted to share it with you in advance for your reference. Sign-ups for Summer School will not go out until the end of March.

Driver's Education

• Must be 15 years of age by June 15, 2021
• Dates: June 2, 3, 7, 8, 9
• Requirements of 30 hours of classwork time and 18 driving hours
• Enrollment fee and cost of breakfast/lunch

High School Physical Education

• Dates: June 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29
• Students missing more than one day will not receive credit
• Free enrollment. Only the cost of breakfast and lunch.

The Blair Oaks R-II School District is now accepting applications for a Building Administrative Assistant for the 2021-2022 school year, building to be determined.

Please review the attached Sexual Abuse Prevention Education letter from our school counselors, Jill Shanley and Julie Graessle. Per Missouri law, beginning this school year, our district will provide age- and developmentally- appropriate sexual abuse prevention education to students. The goal of this programming is to keep your children safe and to empower them with tools to respond.
