WE WILL MISS YOU, MRS. KENNY!!
This week, we say goodbye to our fearless leader and very dear friend, Mrs. Julie Kenny. Mrs. Kenny has taken a position as assistant principal at Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School in Brunswick and will begin after the New Year. In Mrs. Kenny's time here as director, Bath Tech student enrollment has doubled, we have been able to add two completely new programs, and the electrical program was reinstated. In addition, the administrative assistant and student services coordinator positions have increased from part-time to full-time, thanks to Mrs. Kenny's advocacy. The center is now also home to two full-time ed techs. Among her leadership accomplishments are MACTE president (2022-2023), Educate Maine's Educational Leadership program completion, and Bath Rotary Club member. Not only has Mrs. Kenny been an incredible asset to RSU1's leadership, but she is adored and respected by her Bath Tech staff and students. She will be greatly missed, however, we are excited to watch her grow and thrive in her new position and we wish her the very best.

The ultrasound tech even showed them how the images look and how the machine operates. They learned about how Rayus works with different hospitals and doctors offices and what skills it takes to be successful in the industry. Thank you MELMAC for paying for our transportation!
WELDING VISITS SMCC AND ORION
Students from Welding got to tour SMCC Brunswick campus and BIW’s training facility, Orion. Students learned about the training programs that SMCC offers and got to see the dorm rooms that are available to them. After, students toured BIW’s training facility and then got to play around with some of BIWs virtual reality training equipment.
CARPENTRY CREATIONS
Our carpentry program once again shows their talent by creating these beautiful riser boxes to use in culinary arts for food display. The boxes were built to resemble old-time apple and produce boxes. Program names are cut into each box using the carpentry's C&C machine.
