Mountain View Weekly Update

- Attention parents: Student devices (Chromebooks) will be collected on Friday, June 11. Please ensure your child returns the Chromebook, case, and correct Dell charger. All virtual students will return devices Monday, June 14. Specific information regarding procedures for collecting devices from our virtual students will be sent to parents via email.

- Reminder for 5th, 6th, and 7th grade parents: Please reach out to your child’s pediatrician to schedule physicals for sports paperwork for the fall season as we await further guidance regarding scholastic sports for next school year. Students in grades 5/6/7 have signed up for tryouts for their chosen sport. You may access and print all paperwork and find information regarding requirements on the Student Athlete Information page. Please reach out to Mrs. Austenberg should you have any questions.

- 8th grade parents: Mendham High School is offering free sports physicals on June 17 from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Please contact the high school directly to book an appointment (973-543-2501, x4490, 4495).

- The HSA School Supply Kit sale is underway. The deadline to order is June 20; kits will be shipped to your home address in August. Click here to order and here to view supply lists by grade.

This week's note has a few different tid-bits for you:

• Check out this Boggled by Emotions article which features a fun game you can play with your children to help them learn an important SEL skill - identifying and understanding emotions.
• For parents of students ages 13 and up: The Interfaith Food Pantry Network is organizing a summer “Teen Council.” Students will learn about how the food pantry operates, talk with leadership, help conduct a food drive and complete other on-site service work! • For parents of 8th graders who will attend Mendham High School - don't forget to sign-up for the Summer Previews Program on August 10-12 at the link below. Please see the attached brochure for more details - this extra orientation is filled with important SEL skills and other activities that will help your child feel more confident heading into 9th grade. https://forms.gle/wnWTeiZPBa7oNfu4A
