The QMS Parent Advisory Council (a.k.a. the PAC) is the volunteer led, parent organization at QMS. We work in partnership with the teachers and administration to support all students at QMS.

Fundraising enables us to support our students and teachers by providing the funds for important items such as:

• Student Clubs - afterschool clubs like model building and role playing

• Student Activities - 8th Grade Luau

• Speaker Series - presentations on important topics

• Flexible Seating Options - bouncy bands, standing desks, padded stadium chairs for hallway reading time

• Technology - Smartboards and TV monitors in the foyer to display daily information to our students & teachers

• Staff Appreciation - annual staff appreciation events

Over the last several years, PAC has struggled to raise enough funds to maintain the existing support to student activities and staff appreciation. Many community members would be shocked to know that despite the effort and time spent by the Board, we've struggled to raise $5,000 annually. Last year was our largest year since the pandemic and we raised a total of about $6,500 - tens of thousands of dollars less than what other parent teacher associations are able to raise.

Without raising additional funds, it is near impossible to support the annual activities our students and staff have come to count on PAC for, let alone consider new programs and proposals. Our goal this year is to raise $15,000 and have raised $2,616 so far.

You can support PAC by participating in our current fundraisers (details below) and volunteering. Whether you've got an hour a week or an hour a year, your time will be well spend securing the funding necessary to maintain the existing programs and potentially fund new endeavors. Dining for Dollars is a restaurant fundraiser where families eat (or take out) at a restaurant on a particular day and the restaurant donates back a set percentage of sales to QMS PAC. These fundraisers are a win-win! You, your friends, family, and other PAC supporters get a chance to enjoy a delicious meal while supporting a local business AND raising funds for our students.

• Hand-crafted pies from Lyman Orchards are for sale, along with lots of other products like Popcorn, Beef Jerky, Coffee, and Cookies. Proceeds from the sale will go to QMS PAC to support our students.

• Use the QR code to login in and create a personalized dashboard. You will need to create a password and your email will be your user ID. All orders & payments will be done online. However, paper forms are available upon request.

• Once your dashboard is created, invite friends and family to purchase pies and other items from the webstore. You can invite people using the “invite buyers” link on the left hand side of the dashboard screen. Share your link via email or text with your friends and family.

• Pick Up for FROZEN Pies will be held on November 21st from 4-7 pm in the QMS Lobby. Arrangement can be made for pick up alternative dates by emailing qms.pac@gmail.com all other items (popcorn, tumblers, cookies, etc) will be delivered directly to the buyers address. ONLY FROZEN PIES WILL BE PICKED UP AT QMS.

Dislike having to sell “stuff” to raise funds for an organization? Well, so do we!

In lieu of tasking students and parents with selling typical fundraising items, PAC is pleased to offer a tax deductible option to take the hassle out of fundraising. Your participation is completely voluntary and very much appreciated! You can simply make a donation via Venmo, PayPal, or check!

The QMS PAC Executive Board is comprised of parent volunteers elected through an annual nominating process. The PAC is governed in accordance to its by-laws, which are reviewed every three years or more frequently as needed. The Board has oversight for all fundraising initiatives, events, communications, volunteer development, governance, and allocation of funds and grant awards.
