Things to know about the 'View
Top 4 things to know about specials at Skyview Upper Elementary School! By Caitlin C.
In Skyview you will have the specials Health, Art, Music, Computer Lit, Library and Technology.
2. Each day called a “letter” day. You won't have a certain day where you have specials . For example if on Monday, you have an A day, and on Tuesday you have a snow day, the next day you come back on Wednesday it will be B day.
3. This year you will have a lot more specials and this is super cool! You will have some specials you have never had before such as the specials Computer Lit and Technology. Those specials will teach you how to be careful on the internet, type without looking, and (I do not not know if this is true) but I heard in 6th grade you get to build a rocket in technology!
4. In Skyview after your specials, you will either have gym class or flex. So you won't only have gym one day a week but you might have it 3 days a week!
Pillarific
Top 5 Things You Need to Know About Pillariffics!
By: Delaney S.
The Pillariffics are Fairness,Caring,Trustworthiness, Responsibility, Citizenship, and Respect
You can only get a Pillarific if you do good deeds (helping friends, playing with somebody at recess, good behavior in the cafeteria)
You might not always get a Pillariffic even if you do a good deed
The acronym for the six Pillariffics is TRRFCC
You get a reward for earning a Pillariffic (recognition over the announcements, certificate, and pencil)
Lockers
5 things you should know!
By: Hannah D., Ava A., and Alex D.
You won’t always get big lockers, there are smaller ones that are half the size and have a top latch!
You will go to your locker in the morning, maybe after lunch & at the end of the day!
Don’t worry about combinations, they are not that hard and the teachers will help you and will let you practice!!
You may not have your locker in the same hallway as your classroom!
Lockers are a privilege, if you fool around at lockers you could possibly lose your privilege, because you only need to be there a minute or less to only put your bag and coat away!
Tentative Summer Plans - Skyview
Skyview's annual "Scavenger hunt" Open House is tentatively scheduled for August 20.
This event is not a "meet the teacher" night nor orientation; in fact, Skyview teachers are not present at this event. All Skyview teams will do "orientation" type activities on the first day of school. This event allows for families to locate assigned homerooms and independently tour the building.
Additional summer Skyview plans...
Dependent upon current regulations, we will offer guided tours of Skyview throughout the summer. Information regarding dates/times and sign up for these will be communicated in the future.
