Exemplary Bus Behavior by Steele Stars
Each week our bus drivers are now letting us know who is showing excellent behavior on the bus. We know how important it is to be safe on the bus and these Steele Stars are rocking it!
It's Getting Cold Outside!
Our students go outside for recess as long as the real feel temperature is 20 degrees or warmer. To play in the snow, students must have snow pants, coat, gloves, hat, and snow boots. If you are a family in need, please reach out to your teacher or Mrs. Mowen, Outreach, to see what we have.
We hope you enjoyed reading together as a family!
Students can enter a drawing contest this week by drawing a scene from their favorite part of the book. Winners will receive a gift card to a local business. All drawings are due to the office by Friday, December 15th.
Congratulations to our Students of the Week Winners!!
These students were nominated by their teachers for exemplifying our CHAMPS expectations throughout the building. They are shining bright as Steele Stars!
Congratulations to last week's Attendance Award Winners. Thank you again to Judy's Family Cafe for providing a certificate for a free breakfast!
Hip, Hip Hooray, You've Won Breakfast at Judy's Cafe!
These two were so proud of their definition of empathy that they had to come down to the office to read it to us. We are so proud of you and your dedication to being kind!
Fourth Graders Researching Holidays Around the World
In the new Everyone Reads special, 4th graders are researching holidays in different countries in pairs. Mrs. Varela planned the activity so the students could learn together about the similarities and differences between the United States and other countries. During the last week of school, these pairs will have the opportunity to present their research to classrooms in other grade levels.
