Principal's Message
Dear Niton Central School Community,
With under three weeks to the end of the school year, we've had a ton of great activities going on, and more yet to come! Our Grade 9 Farewell Trip to the Palisades Centre was a huge success, and our Elementary Trip to Rotary Park in Whitecourt today promises to be a ton of fun! The Grade 7/8 trip to Jasper is going forward this Wednesday and students are excited to hike and have a soak in the Hot Springs! Also moving forward this Wednesday, our Grade 9's will be travelling to Parkland to experience a day in the life of a Grade 10 Student! Thanks go out to Ms. Servold at PCHS for arranging this opportunity for our students!
I'd also like to take the opportunity to thank my colleagues here at NCS. They've been working very hard and and giving their time, energy, and passion to make sure students have the opportunity to participate in trips, engaging learning activities, end of year screening assessments, and are prepared for end of year exams, PAT's included. Extra thanks also goes to the staff at the Green Grove Pool for their support in getting our students in the pool! It's been a high point in the day for so many kids!
Last week, I met with an enthusiastic group of Jr. High students who advocated for a Jr. High Dance to be held this Friday, from 5:30 - 8:30. Thanks to Alyssa, Ryland, Olyvia, and Andi for their work planning this event for their classmates!
Have a great week!
