We are sharing with you that a police pursuit occurred near Mayfair High School and Stephen Foster Elementary at dismissal. We are taking this incident very seriously, as the safety of our students and staff is of the utmost importance to us. Stephen Foster Elementary did go into lockdown as a result. Mayfair did not go into lockdown, however, our staff and students who were still on campus executed our trained RUN, HIDE, FIGHT protocol near the corner of Allington and Woodruff. The students on the corner of our campus ran back to the interior of campus. Our students responded quickly and followed the directives of our staff.
As a precaution, we brought our students in the front of the school back onto campus for parent pick-up.
I am so proud of our students and staff as this happened very quickly.
