Washington State 2021 Healthy Youth Survey
The Snohomish School District will participate in the Washington State 2021 Healthy Youth Survey this fall. Our school is participating in the Washington State 2018 Healthy Youth Survey on October 22, 2021. The survey will be given to students in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12. The Healthy Youth Survey includes questions related to physical activity and diet, unintentional and intentional injury, substance use, sexual behaviors, abuse, risk and protective factors, and access to school-based services. Survey results are used by schools, communities and state agencies to plan programs to support our youth and reduce their risks. Participation in the survey is voluntary and the students’ answers are anonymous. For more information please click this link. Athletic Events
Students must have their ASB card on their person for free entry to home athletic events. Make sure you either have the red ASB dot on your card or the sticker identifying you purchased an ASB card. If you purchased an ASB card and do not have the red dot or sticker, stop by the bookkeeping office and they can assist you – make sure you bring your ID card. For GP home events, we will accept a clear photo of your entire ASB card, for away events, you will want to make sure you have your actual ASB card to receive the discounted student price.
Game Reminders:
- Properly worn mask are required for all spectators, at all times. Please be respectful to staff that are tasked with enforcing this statewide mandate. Students that must be continually reminded to properly wear their masks may be asked to leave the game due to non-compliance.
- No signs or artificial noise makers are allowed. No outside food or drink.
- Re-Entry to games is not allowed after leaving. This is true for all games, home and away.
- Spectators will not be allowed on the track or field are before, during or after the game.
- Remember you are cheering on our team and all behaviors of our spectators are a direct reflection of the GP community.
- Be loud, be proud and be positive.

Financial Aid Information and Filing Events
If you would like help completing the FAFSA or WASFA, please consider attending a virtual filing event. The 12th Year Campaign are hosting statewide virtual financial aid completion events and would love to help you answer your questions! The 2022-23 FAFSA opens on October 1, filing events are scheduled on Wednesday evenings October through December. Please see this spreadsheet for registration information and exact dates and times.
Class of 2022 Parent Committee Fundraiser
The Class of 2022 Grad Night Party Parent Committee has their first Fundraiser available for you to help support. We are selling Yard Signs to celebrate our 2022 Seniors and we are also offering a GP Pride sign for the entire school to show off our awesome school community. Counselors will be presenting all things senior year including applications, financial aid and scholarships on the dates below. Attending these presentations help you meet your high school and beyond graduation requirement. There will also be a webinar for parents covering the same topics and a workshop to complete the FAFSA in the Commons at GP.

Active Minds is a national organization of teens and young adults that are making a difference in the area of mental health through: educating, advocating and de-stigmatizing mental health issues. This club meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays in the Career Center after school. Together let’s make GP a better place for everyone.

BSU (Black Student Union) Club is starting back up on Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in Mrs. Veach's classroom, 312. BSU hopes to create cultural unity and provide a safe space for students to talk about things that impact their lives especially as it pertains to race, culture, inclusion, and diversity. BSU does not discriminate with who can participate and engage in these conversations. All students are invited.

FFA-Vet Science Club is available to students in Animal or Advanced Animal Biology for active membership. Other students not enrolled in those courses may attend meetings but may not become active members. This club focuses on veterinary medicine and the multiple FFA Vet science competitions that lead up to the State Competition at WSU. Meeting Thursdays, 2:20 in room 108.

Game Club kicked off with a bang! We meet in room 209 after school until 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays! No need to know how to play one of the many games we have! Just show up and have fun. See Mr. Benson for details.
Game Club
Game Club is hosting its first tournament in years! The newest Magic the Gathering set is out, and it’s perfectly theme for Halloween. We will drafting the set on October 28th. There are 12 spots available. It’s a first come, first serve sign up, so book your spot at the bookkeeper ASAP. The cost is $15, and the event goes until 5:30pm in room 209, so plan accordingly. See Mr. Benson in room 209 to show your receipt or ask questions. There will be prizes for top ranks!

Attention for all students with an interest in the Magic of our Spring Musical- “Cinderella!” We have a couple of dates for you to mark on your calendar! A general information meeting will be Tuesday, September 28 at 2:30 in the Choir room. Please attend to pick up important paperwork. Auditions for “Cinderella” will be Monday through Friday October 4-8, 2021. Please prepare a 30 second to 1 minute monologue and a song you’ll sing.
