Wheaton Woods Community Connections
February 2023
Grand Opening of Community Pantry
We had the grand opening of our Community Pantry on January 20, 2023! Families shopped for essential items such as laundry soap, toothpaste, coffee, sugar, paper towels, toilet paper, mouthwash, fabric softener, diapers, wipes, shampoo and conditioner, and dish soap. We are grateful for the donations from our community partners: Am Kolel Congregation, So What Else?, New Vision Pioneers, and Ralph Ibson. We hope to continue to support families through donations!
Cheer Class Kickoff
Whose got the spirit? The Wildcats!
During our first practice, the cheerleaders learned how to fully stretch before cheering, the basics of cheer stunting, and how to do toe touch jumps. We’re looking forward to an amazing season filled with cheer! Don't miss the students performing at the next Wildcat Hall, they will be performing simple cheers!Welcome to Semester 2 with the High 5 Program
The Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity (Silver Spring Alumnae Chapter) joined us to kick off Semester 2 with the High 5 Program! The college-educated gentlemen dressed in mostly red were at each doorway High Five-ing our kids with a smile and an inspirational word! It was a great way to start off Semester 2!
