State Speech Qualifier - Nate!
Congrats to Nate L. for recently qualifying for State Speech in the Impromptu category. Great Job & Good Luck!
Health Tech Trade Expo
The Freshman Class attended the Health Tech Trade career Expo on December 1st at the Fargo Dome. The expo is a fun way to get the students to learn about future career opportunities that are out there. The expo exposes them to various careers at all different levels from a college degree, certificate, or trade. For students who don't know what they want to do or even those that have an idea of what they want to do in the future, the expo gives our students a chance to visit with industry leaders to see what the job is about.
Great Plains Food Bank
While in Fargo for the Health Tech Trade Expo, the Freshman volunteered at the Great Plains Food Bank. Students volunteered for two hours and had a great experience. Freshman from Sargent Central & Milnor are pictured.
Speaker: Tony Hoffman
On December 12th, Tony Hoffman came to Sargent Central to speak with students from the county. Tony talked about substance abuse, recovery, and mental health.
Embroidery Projects
Students in FCS classes have been working on embroidery projects lately. Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination come in handy for this project. Students practiced different kinds of stitches while having a fun time.
Senior Speech Class
A variety of topics were covered in speech class in January, as students demonstrated their knowledge about current events through extemporaneous speeches.
