Stretch Club
Description:
Let's Stretch! provides opportunities for students to stretch their body in preparation for the school day. I will model 4 stretches each club meeting and allow students to include their family members at home. I turn off chat so people focus on stretching as opposed to chatting with their classmates. Regular exercise or stretching helps decrease stress related to school and sitting for long periods of the day and increase well-being and focus. This year, I am proposing including a teaching component by talking more about which muscles in the body are being activated while stretching. We will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:40-7:55.
