SPRING BREAK 2018
HOW NOT TO WASTE YOUR TIME
MARCH 12-16, 2018
SPRING BREAKING in 2018
So here are 3 things I want you to focus on this Spring Break
1. Rest & Recharge
2. Community Building
3. Family Time
Hope you have an amazing Spring Break and we can't wait to hear what God teaches you during the week. We will cancel both conclave and ACCESS during spring break but no worries, we'll be back t it the following week. Be safe!
1. Rest & Recharge
A good way to recharge believe it or not is getting your spiritual life back on track. That'll involve:
- Praying: Spend time each day to pray for your school, your family, your church, and our city.
- Studying: This is personal bible study where you open your bible and dive into it. One thing that may help is Bible Apps: some of my favorites are the daily reading from Bible.com and Worship Initiative app.
- Learning: This is different than your own personal study, this is more of listening and learning from someone else. Maybe commit yourself to listening to a sermon series or even reading a book.

2. COMMUNITY BUILDING
- Organize something with your DG
- Plan a class outing
- Share a meal with someone you haven't seen in awhile.
Also you have 40 people from our church headed to Costa Rica during Spring Break. One way you can contribute to the community building is praying for them but also keeping up with things that they are doing. They will have updates on social media but also on our website at www.cbchouston.org
3. FAMILY TIME
This is probably one of the most important ways to enjoy spring break this year. With all of the craziness of this past year (Harvey, Florida Shootings, Suicides, etc.) dedicated time with the family is now more important than ever. Youth, I want you to truly see it as a gift and not a burden. So when you're together with your family...spend time with them and engage. That's the key word. It means to contribute to the conversation, asking and answer questions. And be present if you're traveling with your family. I think one thing we always say as adults is that we wish we could go back in time to those family trips and wish we had been better children and not brats.
