Good morning E.O. Green families,

-The staff appreciates all the support you have provided to your students during this unexpected and challenging school year. Thank you for always encouraging your students to perform their best. We know it has been A testing time and you and your students are coming out of this pandemic victorious as we conclude this school year.

Congratulations to the 8th graders that are moving on to high school where they will have ample opportunity to join clubs, sport, and various academic pathways. Best of luck to them!

-We look forward to seeing your student return to school next school year, 2021-2022. We anticipate opening the school daily to all students coming to campus for their classes. You will receive more information in August.

-The report cards will go home at the end of this week. Please remember the barriers this pandemic imposed on learning this school year and celebrate your student's small and significant accomplishments.

Here are some friendly reminders:

• The last three days of school, June 16, 17 & 18, the learning bell schedule will be very different due to promotion and concluding the school year. Your student will be coming to school daily the last three days of school, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Your child's teacher is posting the times your student is expected to come to the campus. It is NOT the usual time.

• Two promotions: 5/16 and 5/17. Please see the detailed promotion information below. Your student has also been receiving promotion emails with detailed information. See more below. Please remind them to reread the information provided to them in those emails.

• The Promotion Certificates and the report cards will be distributed on Friday June 18. Please make sure your student comes to school during their expected time.

• Your student MUST turn in the Chromebook, charger, protective black case and Hotspot on Wednesday, June 16 and Thursday. June 17.

• Your student will have an instructional class schedule that will include a combination of in-person and asynchronous work for the last days of school. All students will be assigned classwork that doesn't require a device once we collect it.

• 2021-2022 School Year - You will receive information about the next school year in early August. We will have school orientation days on August 16, 18 and 19. More details later.

Click here to view important information pertaining to 8th grade promotion requirements. We are excited to offer two ceremonies this year for students in both A and B groups!

Letters have been sent to the homes of students who did not meet promotion requirements. Please call the office if you have any questions.

• Students will receive their promotion tickets on either Monday or Tuesday during promotion practice.
• Entrance to the event is through the C-Street Gate by the office and the exit is through the C-Street Gate by the PE gym.

• All students, staff, and attendees will be required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status while on campus the day of the promotion ceremony and for the remainder of the school year.
• Once seated, please stay seated in the same seat during the ceremony.
• Masks will be available at the entrance.
• Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the campus.
• If you have any concerns or questions, please look for a staff member wearing a hornet pin.

Students are encouraged to wear uniforms, but non-uniform attire is optional if you have outgrown your school uniform. Please review the guide below. The first two pages describe the uniform policy and the third page describes the non-uniform dress code policy and items to avoid wearing on campus.

Get your Green Gear before the end of the year and be ready for 2021-2022 school year. You can pick up sweatshirts ($25) and t-shirts ($15) in the library during nutrition or your brain break. **CASH ONLY**

Each student who has met the promotion requirements will receive TWO TICKETS for promotion. All students who are promoting will receive their tickets on either June 14th or June 15th during the promotion practice/rehearsal.
