A big congrats to our #PointerNation wrestlers for their performance at the SWC/SWAL Conference Clash Saturday in Richland Center, including our two champions -- Roen Carey and Tarrin Riley! The road to State begins this weekend!

A special congrats to our District Champs and Sectional Qualifiers, advancing to Lancaster March 27 -- the 8th Grade Quiz Bowl Team with members Emily Heisner, Johnny Robinson, Faye Schuette, and Riley Sennhenn!

Isn't it pretty!? We will have to wait for warmer weather to do the install, but ideas are brewing how to make this Little Free Library at the elementary super special!

Congrats to Brock Ellingson and Anthony Luu who participated in UW-Milwaukee's Vocal Arts Festival! The event culminated with a concert Saturday night.

1st graders traveled to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to hear about the legend of Groundhog Day, learned facts about groundhogs, and even made their predictions if he'd see his shadow!

Mineral Point High School is proud to announce Brett Lawinger as its next Head Baseball Coach! He has been an Assistant Coach in #PointerNation since 2016.

Brett will replace Jordan Tibbits, who took over the program in 2016. During that time, Coach Tibbits and Coach Lawinger helped guide the Pointers to two SWAL Conference championships (2019 & 2021), three WIAA Regional titles (2018, 2019 & 2021), two WIAA Sectional titles (2018 & 2019), two WIAA State appearances (2018 & 2019), and one WIAA State Runner-Up (2019).

Tibbits was named SWAL Coach of the Year in 2019 and 2021, as well as District Coach of the Year in 2019. Thank you, Jordan!

The Mineral Point High School Football team is looking for three Assistant Coaches (one JV Defensive Coordinator and two Program Assistants) for the 2023 Football season. Candidates must be available Monday through Friday after school for practices and games. They will have a staff meeting on Sundays as well during the season. Practice will start for the season on August 1st and will end in November. Coaches must be able to lead or assist in an offensive or defensive position group. Coaches must be good role models, have high integrity, and be able to communicate with all staff and students at a high level. Coaches will need to be able to lead the JV team and Freshman team if games are available for the Freshmen. Other duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: weight room supervision, locker room supervision, and bus supervision. Each position is paid by either the school or the Gridiron Club. Please send a resume and a letter of interest to Athletic Director Vickie Dahl at vickie.dahl@mp.k12.wi.us by March 1.

We are in need of snacks for students and personal hygiene items. Monetary donations will also be accepted which will be used for specific student and family needs.

We are in need of boys pants children’s sizes 4T up to 14/16 and undergarments for boys and girls in all children's sizes 4T up to 14/16. We are also in need of snacks for students and monetary donations which will be used for specific student and family needs.
