A MESSAGE FROM OUR PTA PRESIDENT
Greetings Thalia Families!
We are entering the holiday season and what a busy time this is for the Thalia PTA! We ant to thank ALL of you that came out to participate in the 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat! We had 311 students rsvp – that is over half of our school that attended!
The Thalia PTA is launching our one and only fundraiser this month! We have partnered with Boosterthon to facilitate an indoor Glow Fun Run! This interactive fundraising program begins with a Pep Rally on Tuesday, November 13th and is followed by a two- week educations and motivational interactive program that culminates in celebrating with a Glow Run on Tuesday, November 27th in the school gym during your child’s scheduled PE time!
Students and families are encouraged to gather pledges for every lap your student runs (30-35 laps). The Thalia PTA is hoping for your support to meet our goal of raising $12,000 for Thalia Elementary School. It is our hope to use the money to help support STEM related programs and activities in the school.
Students will experience a two-week educational and motivational program, MINDSPARK MYSTERY LAB! Boosterthon’s most exciting theme yet combines S.T.E.A.M skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) with character-building. While they're teaming up with the MindSpark Kids to solve mysteries, Thalia students will learn five 21st-century character traits that will help strengthen themselves and our world.
Thalia PTA is most grateful for your support of this fundraising program! We encourage you to mark your calendars to come out and cheer on your child at the Glow Fun Run!
The much anticipated BREAKFAST WITH GRANDPARENTS is coming up! This is our favorite event of the whole year! This event fills to capacity quickly – and we are VERY close to capacity for the first day! Get your RSVP forms in quickly! Students whose last names begin with A through M are having breakfast with their grandparents on Tuesday, November 20th. Students with last names N through Z will have breakfast with their grandparents on Wednesday, November 21st! You must hand in an RSVP in order to participate!
Congratulations to the following classes for turning in the MOST BOX TOPS:
1st Place: Mrs. Melnick’s class
2nd Place: Mrs. Saunders’ class

We look forward to seeing you all around the building and at our upcoming events!
