A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Just wanted you to know that I have thoroughly enjoyed my brief time at PES ~ (my last day is this Friday, February 16). The students are a delight and the staff very professional. You have an awesome school! I know you will all be happy when Mrs. G-P returns after the break and things return to normal again for you. I wish you all a fun, safe, and relaxing February break. PAJAMA DAY

Friday, February 16th is Pajama Day at PES. We will be reading in the classroom (Pre-K in the morning) from 2:15-2:45 and enjoying popcorn generously popped and provided by the Phippsburg PTA. Happy reading!

REMINDERS

During the car line/student drop off and pick up time, please be sure to leave a space for arriving staff to pull in and park, or departing staff to leave. Thank you for your assistance.

Remember, there's NO SCHOOL February 19th through the 23rd due to the February break. We hope you have a wonderful, healthy, and restful break!

Community participation is always welcome and wanted at the RSU1 School Board meetings. The next meeting is Monday, February 26th, at 6PM-8PM at Morse High School, 826 Shipbuilder Drive in Bath.

NURSE NOTE

We have 36 remaining boxes of COVID tests. Each box has 2 tests. If you have not obtained one-and would like one-please reach out, and I can leave a box for you in Mrs. Doran's office. First come, first serve.

Please remember, if a student has a fever, or diarrhea, or vomiting, they must be symptom-free (with no medication in the event of fever) for 24 hours from the last episode before returning to school. Thank you.

KINDERGARTEN SEARCH

Do you, or someone you know, have a child living in Phippsburg that will be five by October 15th? If so, they are eligible for our full-day kindergarten class. Please call Mrs. Doran at 389-1514, and we’ll add them to the list for this fall, and contact you when we schedule Parent Information Night and Kindergarten online registration and screening. Advance notice helps us to ensure we have enough materials. We look forward to assisting you.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS?

Have you moved? Not using your old Post Office Box? Please let the office know of any change in your contact information, including phone numbers and email addresses. A change of address outside of Phippsburg will require a Residency Verification form. Thanks for keeping in touch!

ICE FISHING DERBY POSTPONED

Due to the unseasonably warm temperatures and quality of the ice, and with the safety of participating families in mind, the 25th Annual Dickie LeMont "Take a Kid Fishing" Family Fishing Derby has been POSTPONED to Sunday, February 25th.
