Hiring Fair - Juniors and Seniiors
Juniors and Seniors have the opportunity to participate in the hiring fair on Thursday, March 20th at the Venue.
The Spring Hiring Fair will be held at The Venue in Gadsden on Thursday, March 20, 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. has been set aside specifically for high school seniors and juniors. Last year there were over 60 different employers at the Spring Hiring Fair and there should be a large number in attendance again this year. Students will have the opportunity to speak with employers, complete job applications and submit resumes. Seniors and juniors that would like to attend should arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. dressed for success with resumes in hand. Mrs. Prince, our Career Coach, will be on hand and the students attending will check in/sign-in with her. Only those students that are signed in with her will be excused. Students will provide their own transportation to the event.
If you are participating, in order to have a school attendance excuse, you will sign in with Mrs. Prince, your career coach, then you will be required to complete a Google Form listing and describing three employer booths you visited, then a reflection of the event.

FAFSA
FAFSA: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is a form completed by current and prospective college students in the United States to determine their eligibility for student financial aid. This is an opportunity for the student to receive supplemental aid to provide for college. Completion is required for most scholarships and is a graduation requirement.
The FAFSA will open this fall.
Highlights:
•Complete the 25-26 FAFSA or sign the waiver. Signing the waiver does not keep a student from completing it at a later date. Once the waiver is released it will be available for students.
•Students and parents will need separate FAFSA accounts. The account can be created at Studentaid.gov
• The only way a student does not have to have parent information is if we can show they are independent. We will go over dependent and independent in class.
• The top priority is assisting students with their portion before we can offer assistance to the parents. The parents are welcome to contact their child’s future financial aid office for one on one help.
