π Progress in P.E. π
Encouragement + Data = Engagement
We are so proud of all the hard work our students are putting in during their time in PE, and want to highlight their progress and performance so far this year! Last week students in grades 2-8 completed their second PACER Test during Physical Education. This assessment relies on an audio cadence to help measure cardiovascular endurance. 2nd and 3rd graders run 15 meters in length per each round (down is 1, back is 2) while 4th through 8th graders run 20 meters. Each minute the amount of time decreases by half a second to run the designated distance. On average students improved by an outstanding 44.77%! π The most improved class through the first 15 weeks of school is Mrs. Gerken's 2nd grade class. They had an average growth of 63.38%. Further data highlighting homeroom results is displayed to the right and posted in the gym. Students will have two more opportunities to improve their scores as the school year continues. The next opportunity will be during the week of February 19-23. If you would like Coach Dunn to provide you with your child(s)'s individual PACER Test data, please reach out to him via email (jdunn@stcecilia.net). Way to go, Cardials! π€©
