President's Message
Hard to believe another NCBCC Specialty has come and gone. I'm so impressed, as always, by the club presence and support of our membership. Decorations and trophies were beautiful. The atmosphere was positive and excited. Our online auction and our annual basket raffle at the specialty were hugely successful! We don't have our final numbers yet, but will share the details as soon as everything is wrapped up. A huge thank you to the rest of the show committee - Lucy Campbell-Gracie, Pat Colombo, Karen Kman, and Casey Minner - for your tireless work to ensure an incredible event. We received so many kind comments about the day, which was only possible thanks to all of our volunteers who helped out. Whether you provided snacks or items for goody bags, manned the hospitality table, ran errands to make sure we had everything we needed, attended to exhibitors' or judges' needs, your support and help was not unnoticed. We appreciate all you did to make the day a great one!
Our next event will be a beardie bounce at Kathy Wilson's on Saturday, May 19th, in Westminster, Maryland. Details are forthcoming, but please plan to join us for a fun day of beardies running and enjoying the spring!
Coming up in June is NCBCC's Herding Trial! The event will take place at Scarlet Mills Farm on June 9th and 10th. Lucy Campbell-Gracie is spearheading this event, along with her trial committee. Entries are open to all breed and close on May 23rd at 5pm. Please consider supporting the event by entering and/or volunteering! For more information visit: http://delbayherdingtracking.org/events.html
If you haven't renewed your membership for 2018, we'll be in touch with steps to renew/re-apply soon.
Enjoy this springtime weather with your beardies now that it's here!
