News for You:

• Halloween Parade: See the attached video if you want to watch our Halloween parade!
• Penny Drive: The elementary will have a penny drive for Wreaths across America. See details below. Thanks!
• Food Drive: The elementary will be holding a canned food drive for our local food pantry the week of November 14-18. Students can bring in non-perishable goods this week. Thanks!
• Lost and Found: Please encourage your child to check the lost and found for any of their belongings. It's getting out of hand (see picture below). Thanks!
• Doors open at 8:20, and Dismissal is at 3:10
• Picture Retakes: Picture retakes are on Nov. 11th. If you need a picture form, please get in touch with the office. Thank you!
• Holiday Help: The Holiday Season is fast approaching. Times can be difficult. With the added stress of the Holidays, some families struggle more than usual. If you are in need of assistance this Holiday Season, we have our Holiday Help forms outside the Elementary office. The forms are due back to the office by November 22, 2022.

  If you would like to help a family in need by donating gifts or money, please get in touch with April Neihardt at 231-824-6413 ext 4121 or Google Voice: (231) 577-9123.

• PTO: The PTO (parent-teacher organization) is looking for new parent recruits who want to be a part of a great group to enhance the school experience for all students! Please get in touch with Mr. Katona if you're interested in joining! Our next meeting will be Tuesday, December 6, at 6:30 pm.
• Cold Weather: Cold weather is here! Please send your child with a jacket and warm clothing as the weather gets cooler. Thanks!
• WIN Room Clothes: We are looking for clothes donations (pants, shirts, etc.) for our WIN room. You can drop them off in the elementary office. Thank you
• Popcorn Fridays: Parent/Guardians, popcorn Fridays are back! Students will get a bag of popcorn one Friday of the month (usually the last Friday). We are asking for students to bring in $.25 per month to help offset the cost of the popcorn. This is not mandatory, and we thank you for your help!
• Drop-off Lane: Parents/Guardians! Please don't leave your vehicle in the drop-off lane; pull forward to allow other vehicles to enter. This WILL help the flow of traffic.
• Water Bottles: Please continue to send your child to school with a water bottle!
• No outside visitors are allowed to enter the building (parents included).
• Please be sure to contact the office and get the proper paperwork for any Medication disbursement or food modification forms for the kitchen. Medication can not be given without paperwork from the school signed by the physician. This includes Epi-pens and inhalers as well as prescribed and non-prescribed medication. The kitchen cannot accommodate any food modifications without the form from the school filled out by a physician.
• Head lice: Please regularly check to ensure your child does not have head lice. Thank you!
• Gym Shoes: Please have your child in gym shoes on their gym days.

Manton Elementary will have a penny drive to raise funds for Wreaths across America. Every December, remembrance wreaths are placed on veterans' graves worldwide, and we hope to continue to help our local Township cemetery by covering the graves again this year. You can help with this worthy cause by sending in any change with your child from November 7th-11th. Thank you all!
