We hope all of our Hawks have a safe and enjoyable winter break! We will welcome students back to campus on January 4th, 2023. Teachers will return to campus on January 3rd, 2024 for staff development.

Going into the second semester some student schedules will change. All students will receive their second semester schedule when they return from the break whether their schedule changes or stays the same.

Students will begin the process of selecting next year's courses once we return from the winter break. There is an Elective Fair on January 16th at 5:30 that all 6th & 7th grade students are able to attend if they would like to learn more about a particular elective class.

Here are the dates that course selections will begin by grade level. Students will bring their course selection card home to be signed by a parent or guardian.

6th grade - January 24

7th grade - January 26

8th grade - February 9

Harby Junior High will have a guest speaker from Unbound Now on Monday, January, 8, 2024 at 6pm. Unbound Now is an organization that is on a mission to end human trafficking and ignite hope. They offer training to help our community understand, identify, and be able to effectively respond to human trafficking so that no one falls through the cracks. Young people are increasingly more vulnerable to human trafficking regardless of gender, race, or socioeconomic status. This presentation is intended for parents and guardians only.

8th graders who are interested in taking dual credit in high school must take TSIA2 before course registrations in February. HJH will offer a TSIA2 administration on January 11, 2024 during the school day. Space is limited and students must complete registration by January 9th.

All 5th grade students zoned to Harby JH will have the opportunity to learn about electives and fine arts offered at HJH. 6th adn 7th grade studets are welcome to come if they are interested in picking a different elective for next year. Elective Night is January 16, 2024 at 5:30pm-6:30pm at Harby JH.

Being back in our building has allowed us to bring back the Harby tradition of a Students vs Staff Volleyball game! Students won the game with a very close 3rd match. Great job, students!
