Notes From Mr. Nichols
Hello Everyone -
We will have a lot of changes coming to Windsor this next year besides the change in principal. First off, I'd like to recognize our retirees - Ms. Bennett, Ms. Hoffman, and Ms. Powers. Combined, they have served students for over...well, let's say it's more than a few years. Their leadership and wisdom have guided many students and colleagues and I know that I have benefited from their assistance, patience, and grace over the last decade.
As they say in the infomercials, "But wait, there's more!" We'll also be saying goodbye to many other staff members as they move on to other paths in their career - Mr. Ballard, Ms. Damman, Ms. Hansen, Ms. Hartwig, Ms. Jackman, and Ms. Small. They have served Windsor with pride and diligence over the years and we wish them well in their new endeavors.
As you can imagine, this has left some holes in our rosters. We moved some people around internally and have also been able to complete some hiring. Some spots have yet to be filled and we will be interviewing soon. As it stands when you read this, here is where we are with our staff for next year. A * denotes a new staff member; a ^ means that is a position that has yet to be filled.

May is a busy month for a lot of school activities. Most are listed in this newsletter but please make sure to look for messages from the school, or your child's teacher, regarding last-minutes events or changes to existing ones.
If you'll remember in an earlier message, I mentioned we would be unable to host a summer school program due to scheduled HVAC upgrades. But the day before all the proposals were due, I learned that none of the equipment would be here until July. So we put together a plan for the month of June. It will run more as a summer targeted-tutoring program rather than a full summer school experience and will be targeted at grades 2 and 3. However, we may work our way up and down grade levels depending upon spots. We are narrowing down the list of students now and we will be reaching out to families in mid May.
That's plenty for this edition of Notes from Mr. Nichols. Happy Spring!
