Red Storm Forecast Stonybrook IA/MS
Week of: December 2nd
Happy December!
This week and next your students will be taking the NWEA test. We take NWEA three times a year to gauge where students are academically and we use the data to drive our instruction decisions.
Please remind your students to come to school in dress code; jeans or khakis and any shirt that is free of inappropriate language or images that covers the upper body appropriately. Students are not allowed to wear hoodies in the building. They also can not wear house shoes. Also remind your students that cell phones and ear buds should not be visible in the school building.
We have 15 school days until break and we are looking forward to having a great time learning and continuing to build relationships with you and your students.
Mr. Smith
Morning Drop-off
As the weather becomes increasingly colder, it is important to review our morning drop-off procedures.
- Students are not able to enter the building until 8:35 a.m. This is the earliest we can guarantee appropriate adult supervision.
- Students should NOT be dropped off prior to 8:35 a.m. each day; if they are, they will be standing in cold temperatures until staff supervision arrives and students are let in to the cafeteria.

Clinic News
LET'S FIGHT THE FLU TOGETHER
Your decision to get a flu shot or not goes well beyond you. It also affects the many lives you touch...
Influenza ia a contagious disease of the respiratory tract (nose, throat, and lungs) that can lead to serious complications, including pneumonia and the worsening of other chronic health conditions. Flu symptoms may include fever, headache, extreme tiredness, dry cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, and muscle aches. The best way to protect your family from new influenza strains is to get vaccinated each year.
Please stay healthy during the coming Holiday Season by using good handwashing techniques and keeping the following areas germ free in your home:
1) Telephones (have you cleaned your cell phone lately?)
2) Appliances such as a refrigerator and microwave.
3) Faucets
4) Light switches and door handles.
5) TV remotes
Enjoy a Happy and Healthy Holiday season!!!
Thank you,
Sharon Larpenter R.N.
